Monash University has great academics and practical exposure to the curriculum.
Tips: Making friends and trusting people will be hard, as a lot of people are going through their own problems and not everyone here loves talking about them. One should learn to enjoy exploring in solitude. Will feel like too much stuff is happening at one time, but go with your pace.
Likes (Quality of faculty): I love how we have assignments on practical content and exams on both practical and theory, so it has a nice balance of what I'm studying. The faculty is easy to approach, and one can easily meet the Chief Examiner and tutors to ask questions. The faculty of Data Analysis is very diverse with the majority being Asian.
Dislikes (Value for money): I'm studying Bachelor of Business majoring in Data Analytics in Marketing, a unique major combination not easily found at other universities in Australia or India. I'm taking the same courses and using the same materials as master's students, but my assignments are less difficult. This allows me to complete my bachelor's degree without having to spend the time or money to earn a master's degree.

I would urge anyone to think very carefully about how their life would look like here.
Tips: I found it relatively easy to fit in, having grown up in an international setting all my life. I was unable to avail any scholarships, although I do wish I made a stronger attempt to search for one at multiple universities. Overall I would say I have some major regrets that I wish I had considered before the move, however, I am still incredibly blessed and happy with my life here.

Thriving in a diverse and supportive academic environment at Monash University.
Tips: Before joining Monash University, students should know how to adapt to a diverse, multicultural environment and a more independent learning style. I didn't avail of my scholarships, but Monash offers various options with allowances ranging from academic performance to circumstantial/living situations. Overall, I'm highly satisfied with the university and course, and it offers some challenges, like for anyone else.
Likes (Indian Food): There are a variety of Indian restaurants and grocery stores near Monash University, offering authentic food options at reasonable prices. The availability of both North and South Indian cuisine makes it easy to find dishes that would make Indian students feel at home.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): I rated the quality of the faculty a 4 because the lecturers and tutors in B.Sc. are highly knowledgeable and bring significant expertise to their subjects. Many are active researchers, which ensures that the content they teach is up-to-date and relevant. However, due to the large class sizes in some core subjects, personalised feedback and individual attention can sometimes be limited.

Tips: Students should know that life is very different in Australia. You have to be prepared to take care of yourself and immerse yourself in a new culture. This means leaving your comfort zone and being prepared to change yourself. You will face a lot of challenges and homesickness. Besides the faculty is good, public transportation is almost available and the country is safe to explore.

Sea of opportunities but sea is scary
Tips: Just be open to everything and never give up. I got a scholarship and I worked hard for it, I am satisfied with the University. It is a little difficult but it is all about never giving up, I did not face much cultural difference. Overall it has been a great experience.
Likes (Post study jobs): University is one of the best in the country and not all but there are many companies offering sponsor visas.
60-100k is an average payout as Monash is known for its employability skills, you need to make sure that you have made the best out of your time and be everywhere without being conservative.
Dislikes (Part time work): For part time work bit less options but more opportunities off campus.
You have to manage time well and with efficiency.
400 per week, you have to make sure you look out and apply everywhere it is a bit difficult but might take some time. Do not lose hope and keep at it.

My experience in Monash University was a mix of good and bad.
Tips: Course rigour is higher than comparable institutes in India (IITs, NITs, equivalent institutes of other disciplines). Quite a lot of self-study is expected. Plenty of resources are available for students, academic and otherwise, to achieve their goals. Australians are a friendly bunch of people usually. It is not all that difficult to find someone who can speak an Indian language, usually Hindi and/or Punjab. However, meeting and forming connections with people of all cultures is incredibly rewarding, both professionally and personally.
Likes (Indian Food): A lot of Indian immigrants lead to a variety of Indian restaurants. Ordering from outside is a bit more expensive than cooking at home, but not everybody has the time and energy to cook every day. Tiffin services are also available, usually provided by these restaurants.
Dislikes (Value for money): While the quality of faculty and education is fairly high, it being a master's programme, the tuition fee is high as well. Self-funded master's programs are worth the cost only if the degree provides a significant boost in the career, which, while not uncommon, happens only for a select few fields.

Tips: Don't just stay and make friends with Indian people. Broaden your circle. I live with an Aussie family and through them have learnt so much about Aussie culture and values. I like Melbourne, people are nice if you are friendly. I experienced different cultures. I am happy with my course and university.
Dislikes (Value for money): Everything is dependent on self-study. Assignments were the only useful thing in the course, it's the name of the university that helps and nothing else, like a stamp.
The assignments are definitely good. It looks good on your resume that you graduated from Monash, you have to apply for internships and find jobs by yourself .

A stress free yet stressed environment
Tips: Before joining the course research your course units and insights regarding the job prospects. Students should think about their accommodation options in detail. Monash has several scholarships that can be prevailed by students. Also, keep in regular touch with Monash authorities as they can guide you through various stages of college.
Likes (Safety): Monash provided several safety options around the campus that are available 24/7 to assist students. We could call them if we felt unsafe, they had different options of someone picking us up or dropping us off or accompanying us to our houses, especially at night.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): I reckon that jobs for people in the field that I accomplished are difficult to find. As the organisation prefer people with permanent residency or citizenship over other visas. Also, the university did not help with any job opportunities and I believe they could have helped us in this journey.

There are plenty of support options in terms of student advocacy, study support, admin support etc
Tips: Learn about research, journals, databases, using evidence such as references and citations for assignments, and formatting (APA/MLA etc. ). Get used to following a rubric, writing extensive reports and ensuring to not copy, cheat or writing vague things. Every single word is read and critiqued if required.
Likes (Public transportation): Public buses, teams and trains run on every route possible and at a good frequency too. From early morning till late in the night and ever past midnight. You can completely rely on public transport and it has great tracking options as well in the form of public transport apps.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Food options are plenty but usually located in far away locations. Clayton campus has a great Indian presence nearby so there are a lot of options (North Indian/South Indian) in the form of food trucks, cafes and restaurants. Caulfield campus has fewer options but the main city area again has a lot of options.

Fun and hard work go hand in hand here.
Tips: There is a high amount of work load because of the assignments at this university. One needs to learn to manage their time mindfully and efficiently. All the assignments are time restricted and multiple submissions would be there at the same time from other units.
Likes (Student Life): Monash has the best multi cultural and diverse environment one can ask for. There are students from China, USA and India majorly at Monash, Caulfield. Being an Indian student, I have never faced any discrimination on the campus of any type which is amazing and also the on campus facilities and security are top notch.
Dislikes (Internships): Monash university doesn't help with finding internships or placements. So it is all on the student to find work or to get an internship. I would suggest one to socialize as much as possible and make good connections in the university so later on they might become a help while applying for jobs.

The university provides us with a lot of internship opportunities.
Tips: This is a great college to start your career journey. After graduating, you will have great opportunities. The college provides internship opportunities to students with a good stipend. However, the cost of living here is quite high. If you can get a scholarship, it is a great college.
Likes (Post study jobs): Post-study job opportunities are great at RMIT because it is a well-known university. The value of a degree from RMIT is high, so you can get a good job after graduation. The salaries that are offered are quite good.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I can get food from my country in some hotels, but I can't get the taste of my country. But I have no complaints about the food. I prefer to eat out, but sometimes I cook for myself, like noodles, rice, etc.

The city is very expensive and it is difficult to find a part-time.
Tips: Students should know that you might feel that the community of this college would discriminate against you, but the college community is very supportive. They helped me in all aspects, including accommodation, food, and transportation. The campus is very good. The fees for this course at RMIT are very high at 40,000 AUD per year, and the living costs in Australia are also very high. However, the college is good, the students are supportive, and the staff is cooperative. So, if you can afford it, you might consider attending.
Likes (Safety): This college provides fantastic hostels for students. They are very clean and have all the essential. Safety measure are taken very seriously, with CCTVs everywhere and security guards surrounding the college.

Excellent people with liberal thoughts and a scope of better career and personal growth.
Tips: The most challenging part for me was figuring out how to enrol in courses. I approached it like any other new experience, like riding public transportation or meeting new people. It was daunting at first, but it was worth it. Now I feel comfortable going anywhere, anytime, and talking to anyone. Classes typically meet two or three times a week during the fall and spring semesters and only once or twice a week during the summer semester. Each class lasts for a maximum of two or three hours. The classes are conducted in a workshop format, where professors and students interact and communicate throughout the class. You will likely spend more time in the library than in class. You can literally sit in any class with your student card and no one checks. I received a standard 20% international student scholarship for Indians without doing anything. Usually, standard scholarships are applied to your offer letter when you apply for the program at the university. For some scholarships, you have to apply after you receive your offer letter. I love this country and the people here. I have not met any rude people yet. I would say to get out of your comfort zone and participate in every university event, especially orientation never miss that. If you miss any events, you will likely end up with fewer friends because the more you meet someone, the closer you become. There are also numerous clubs for every interest. Join them and go to their events. Prioritize your university studies over part-time jobs. Otherwise, you will likely end up doing the same part-time job after graduation.
Likes (Internships): There are a lot of guidance available from universities. Most universities have a job-helping department, like RMIT's Jib Shop, that can help with reviewing resumes, preparing for job interviews, and even finding part-time jobs. The university also organizes a part-time career fair for students once a year in October. There are a lot of internships available, but a degree alone with the university name on it won't get you one. You need to have skills, good experience (university projects/university subjects), and network with others. If you don't have these things, consider a university that offers work-integrated learning (WIL) along with a degree. WIL is a mandatory internship program in which the university places you in a company for an internship or helps you find one on your own.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are several Indian restaurants in Tarneit, Truganina, Point Cook, and Werribee. The average cost per person is 25-40 Dollars. Some popular restaurants are Kasba on Lakes Road Tarneit and Dosa Hut in Tom Roberts Parade in Point Cook. I prefer to cook at home, but I do go out to eat occasionally.

Tips: Students should know what you're there for, have clarity with what you study and have the next steps ready. Feel free to ask any form of questions to your lecturers, professors and even students. Dont be afraid to reach out to people when you need help. Everything will work out once you have that clarity.
Likes (Part time work): There is always work available when you look for it. You can start by applying for jobs through recruitment agencies, but asking people face to face helps as well. There is some part time work offered as well as volunteer work. Every experience will put you at an advantage.
Dislikes (Value for money): I pay HECS money, but it hasn't affected me much because I live at home with family and money hasn't been a problem. However, I do work part-time, which is beneficial because I can spend money, go out, and explore. Plus, there is free food on campus twice a week.

Tips: Don't expect anything from what the people say and just go with the flow. Students should know that you will have to struggle with most things as working here is totally different from India. University is great and helps you build a great professional life.
Tips: Students should know that RMIT is the only university, which doesn't conduct examinations. The assessment is purely based on 3 assignments. Students must take any programme if they have a basis in that programme. Every student from India gets a minimum of 20% scholarship including me. I am glad that I got this opportunity because I learnt how to manage time, and gained a spirit of diversity and confidence to face and overcome failure.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The course is based on direct application in the real world. This helps students to learn and implement the same in companies. Plus, the faculty takes feedback from students and updates courses semester-wise. Faculty members are friendly and can always approach them through Outlook or personal meetings for any technical or personal problems.
