Queen Mary University of London is good with great academics.
Tips: Academics here are challenging, so understanding your course will help. The workload is intense but rewarding, with strong support services, including academic help and mental health resources. Living in London can be costly, so budgeting is crucial. Many students choose on-campus or nearby housing to manage expenses. QMUL has excellent networking opportunities through career events and workshops, which can help secure internships or job placements. For international students, scholarships are available. Some may cover part or all of the tuition and even provide living allowances. Apply early, as it's competitive. Adjusting to life in London's multicultural environment may feel like a cultural shift, especially if you're from abroad, but engaging with different people and campus activities ease the transition. Overall, QMUL offers a supportive and inclusive environment that most students find rewarding- your experience will largely depend on how you engage and explore.

Adapting to a competitive and culturally diverse university experience.
Tips: Before joining this college, students should know that the academic environment is competitive, and on-campus resources are essential for success. Adjusting to the new cultural norms can be challenging, especially in communication style and socializing. I applied for a merit-based scholarship that provided partial tuition. Overall, I am satisfied with the university course and country, but adjusting took time. The educational quality is high, but managing costs and cultural differences can be tough.
Likes (Post study jobs): I read 4 for post-study jobs as soft companies offer decent opportunities including those that sponsor shipwalk visas though availability varies by field job roles are typically in engineering and business with average starting salaries regarding from 30 to 35K per year.
Dislikes (Part time work): I rated three because while part-time opportunities are available on campus they can be limited and competitive. Off-campus jobs are harder to secure for international students as balancing work and academics is challenging and the average pay is moderate around 10 to 15 pounds.

Best Russell Group University.
Tips: There is nothing to worry about while joining QMUL, as you'll be provided with everything. They provide you with an email account where they send all the important information. You just have to keep a lookout on your email. Everything is quite easy to do. The faculty is warm, friendly, understanding and will help you any time. Public transportation is easily accessible and convenient to use. I am satisfied with my experiences.

Studying and networking matters a lot.
Tips: Students should be aware that there are no direct scholarships or internship opportunities offered by the university. However, the environment is friendly and welcoming, and although there are some cultural shifts to deal with, overall the experience was good.
Likes (Public transportation): The university is well connected by public transportation, with bus stations close to the university for both on-campus and off-campus students. There are two nearby tube stations and four bus stops. The bus fares are reasonable compared to the underground.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): There is no particular support for international students for any job, even for part-time work. The university does have a part-time job fair, but I didn't get any positive results from it. There are lots of companies that didn't get any response yet, so it is okay.

Good university with supporting and knowledgeable faculty.
Tips: Students should be prepared for a cultural change, as London is very different compared to other cities in India. The weather can be harsh sometimes, and it gets difficult to start early for college during cold weather conditions. Also, check all the scholarship opportunities that are available before starting your journey here. Try joining the college early, as it can increase your chances of getting campus-based accommodation, which is much safer and would make it easier to manage college life with less travelling.

The university is great with lots of opportunities to grow.
Tips: Before coming to Queen Mary University of London, students should check if they are eligible for scholarships and apply for them as soon as possible. Some scholarships are known by university representatives, so be sure to talk to them about them. Shifting to a new country is exciting, but it can also be lonely. Try to socialize as much as you can. Also, make sure to stop converting British pounds to Indian rupees, or you might find the cost of living too expensive and start to feel like you can't enjoy your experience.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty is amazing and easy to connect with. They understand that we are already facing difficulty in shifting to a new country, and they are friendly. You can mail them and expect a prompt reply. They are always ready to talk about any query you have, you can be your real self in front of them.
Dislikes (Part time work): Availability of on-campus jobs starts before the start of the course, and at that time not all students realize they need one. By the time we reach the university, all jobs are full, and you need to compete a lot for the available jobs. Payout is amazing as they provide a London living wage. They also provide opportunities for off-campus part-time jobs, but they are for a limited time span, such as 80 hours in total, and cannot be reapplied through the scheme.

Positive university experience with challenges in post-study employment.
Tips: Before joining this college, students should know about the visa requirements, job prospects post-graduation, and the overall cultural environment. Transitioning here involved adapting to a new culture and academic system, but the support services made it smoother. I did not avail of any scholarships, but there are opportunities available for eligible students. Overall, I am satisfied with the university, course, and country, though some areas like job support for international students could be improved.
Likes (Indian Food): The campus itself provides a wide variety of choices that cater to my dietary preferences. Additionally, several local restaurants offer various cuisines and pricing options. However, I mostly preferred dining on campus for convenience and affordability, as the available food meets my expectations in terms of taste and variety.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): I rated 4 for post-study jobs due to the limited availability of companies offering visa sponsorship, lack of campus placements, and relatively fewer high-salary job roles. The opportunities for international students to secure work in sponsored positions are quite restricted.

Things to know for upcoming students of Queen Mary University of London.
Tips: Students should know which course they want to join and their future opportunities. It's better to check the modules of the course before they drop the application to the university. Coming to scholarships, there are some of them that are provided by the university. I am fully satisfied with the university, but getting a job is somewhat difficult.
Likes (Indian Food): There are multiple canteens available in universities where you can find different varieties. If you want to have Indian food, there are many areas. I would prefer eating both outside and eating at home. You can find Indian grocery stories where everything is available, everything you find in India.
Dislikes (Internships): The university will provide internship opportunities, but those are very limited. There are multiple ways to get internships, but the individual should work very hard to prove to the company that he has the matching skill set. Many platforms like Indeed, LinkedIn, GradCracker, and many more may help.

Transformative experience with academic growth and new culture.
Tips: Transitioning from India to London was challenging at first, mainly due to weather changes, no good food availability and difficulty travelling, come to classes in the morning during November - December time due to very bad weather. Even finding part time jobs has been a tedious task in the UK.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I'm disappointed with the food options here. The food is very bland, and there aren't any spicy dishes that I like. If you want to eat well, you'll need to cook for yourself. Even the groceries are expensive, especially in London. If you go to the outskirts of London, the prices are better. There are a few coffee shops on campus, but they're expensive too. If you're looking for a good deal, check out the meal deals at Tesco or Sainsbury.

Great college environment with friendly people and supportive faculty.
Tips: Queen Mary has a robust ecosystem. I'm incredibly happy with the faculty who have been so kind and considerate of all of us. The facilities that the college offers, like the library, are world-class and provide students with a great safe space to study together and other activities as well.
Likes (Student Life): Queen Mary has a very receptive crowd and faculty. They make you feel welcome from the first day itself and I never felt the need to overtly make friends because everyone was just so nice to each other. I spent a lot of time at the cafe which actually has some incredible food for great prices.
Dislikes (Safety): Mugging rates have increased. My friends and I have faced a lot of crimes in 1 year. Otherwise, as well, London has become pretty unsafe for Indian Subcontinents immigrants. Phone snatching has become very common, making walking alone at night pretty scary.

Pretty expensive and good experience.
Tips: Students should not focus on college rankings. Instead, they should go to LinkedIn and search for students who have taken the same course. Talking with those students will provide the best guidance because the college ranking doesn't reflect the quality of the professors or the college's performance.
Likes (Public transportation): I really like the public transportation in London. The buses and trains run on time, and the tube stations are everywhere. There's a tube station within 10 minutes of my house and my university. The buses are also very convenient, and there's a bus stop within two minutes of everywhere.
Dislikes (Part time work): University will not help you to get part-time, instead, you have to search and apply for it. The university can show you the websites where you have to apply and can show you how to make a CV. They will help you with your CV changes but they can’t send you somewhere to get a job directly.

Fun-loving and multi-dimensional experience at QMUL.
Tips: Make sure to apply and accept your offers promptly. This will give you an advantage to stay at campus-based accommodation, which makes it easier to attend classes and provides a safe environment. Overrated with respect to value for the tuition fees being charged.
Tips: There was a drastic cultural shift and it came as a shock and it took me around 6 months to cope up. There was an immense scholarship I could avail and was eligible but wasn't aware. I am not that satisfied with the university as my course was very theoretical and lacked teaching basic financial skills required in the corporate world. The United Kingdom a country was a desired destination to study but over the period it has overcrowded there are very less job opportunities and requires extreme time and energy to land a job that another ideal country wouldn't require.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation is amazing and is very well connected. The university is just outside of zone 1 of London and otherwise in core London so its very well connected transport-wise. For an immigrant, it might be expensive but surely value for money as it is 24 X 7 available.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): It is a mature market to look out for jobs. The market is filled with over applicants and one does not even get a chance to interview. Mostly the students out here come directly after graduation so the quality of students is also not quite great as they are less industry-experienced. The demographics of the classroom are quite less diverse in tier 2 and below colleges as most of the students are either Indians or Chinese. Investing 20-25 Lacks here and then going back to the country is a very bad investment because in return you are not getting anything fruitful except for the experience of living abroad.

Great university with good and helpful faculty but limited internship opportunities.
Tips: My course was M.Sc. Economics. I had a very small cohort of 20-24 students, so one can expect a high level of diversity. Therefore, incoming students will need to put in effort to understand different cultures. There are very limited scholarships for any master's degree in the UK. However, the M.Sc. Economics programme has its own scholarship for which every student who applies to the programme is considered. I received this scholarship. It was a partial tuition fee waiver of 10000 Pounds. Overall, I am satisfied with the university.
Likes (Value for money): The tuition fees are quite reasonable, and they are justified by the quality of teaching one receives here. The university also provides ample facilities that will enhance your student experience. The library has sufficient reading material, which means you don't have to wait for books because of unavailability.
Dislikes (Internships): Due to visa restrictions, you can't pursue full-time internships during term time. Additionally, because the master's programme in the UK is only one year long, we don't get many holidays in between the terms to do internships. Hence, don't expect that you will be doing internships during your course.

Lively university. More resource and more opportunities
Tips: University is really good and the location too. Be prepared to have jobless days but harder we try the best we get. I didn't get any scholarship. I'm satisfied in terms of education but doesn't have any good reviews for the placements. It's a very good place to learn and grow.
Likes (Student Life): London is more happening and there are places to explore. More lively, good resources and many events happen which will help students to socialize and network more. There are clubs like finance club, ethnic club, and marketing club. There are events which are related to courses and other activities.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): UK is under recession and London has become costly. There are no adequate jobs for people who are graduating. Getting a job itself is difficult, expecting sponsors is like an illusion. Marketing and IT jobs are easier to get than finance core jobs. Networking is important.

I am happy with the delivery of the course.
Tips: UK is an amazing place to migrate because the transition to this country is very easy. I was on a full scholarship all my expenses were taken care of by the government. of UK. I was a Chevening Scholar and I am very happy with the delivery of the programme. I strongly recommend it.
Likes (Indian Food): If you go to any town or village in the UK you will find Indian food without worry. There are various options under many pricing options. If you don't get a restaurant you will get all Indian groceries and you can cook yourself. So don't worry about food, I prefer cooking myself during my stay.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): For a country like UK to migrate you need to have a sponsorship. A very few employers hire students from universities which depends from programme to programme and the ratio is really low in Law. Very competitive and stringent conditions to migrate. I will be happy to migrate.

There is independent learning and plethora of opportunities
Tips: Queen Mary is the only campus university in the London city which I feel is a plus point. Choosing the right course for yourself is very important for you to succeed in this university. Also, the university has a good recognition by being a part of the Russell group.
Likes (Public transportation): The city is very well connected via underground tubes and buses at a very reasonable price. Just with a student oyster card (rail card), you are free to go wherever you want at a student's discounted price. The public transportation sites are all safe and secured.
Dislikes (Safety): London being not a student town and also the hub of UK, isn’t totally reliable. Students have to make their own way out of danger of any kind. As the crime rate in outer parts of the city is arguably high. Honestly, it’s nothing to be scared about. Majority of the students make their way out of it. Few things to keep in mind are like you have to move in groups wherever you go and try to go where you can identify more people.

Detailed review on life as a Queen Mary student
Tips: It is a good university but the curriculum is more research-oriented. So you might need to do a lot of your own work if you want to stand out on the job front. The professors here are really helpful and are ready to help and solve your doubts in case you have them but you need to be constantly approaching them in order for you to avail this opportunity. All in all, a pretty good university, with still some small upgrades needed to be done in its curriculum which would make it stand out even further than what it is currently.
Likes (Student Life): This college has its whole campus in London which is rare for most Russel Group colleges. There are many events ongoing throughout the day, several clubs and volunteering events which you can attend in your free time. We have many clubs and societies ranging from Badminton and tennis to various countries' societies among many others.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): There are relatively few companies that offer post-study work jobs, so you need to start applying to graduate roles as soon as your course starts. These roles become available mostly after your first year. If you come under the "new entrant" category (a person under 26), then you get a 30% relaxation on the minimum sponsorship package which is an added advantage. After graduating, you need to try your luck with permanent jobs, mostly after applying for graduate visa.

Excellent C suite facilities and programme.
Tips: Students should maximum try to get good scholarships, as most of the universities here provide decent scholarships. Also, it would be better to take the majority of cooking stuff and spices before coming here, as these are a little bit costly here. Better try not to spend too much once you reach here, as this will exhaust you.
Likes (Safety): Safety is so important here and you can travel at anytime as per your convenience. The security which we get in the UK is extremely good. Especially in the university area, there are security vans which used to travel in late hours. They ensure the safety of the students and faculty members.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I mostly prefer Indian food and here we get it so scarcely. Mostly western and Chinese foods are seen. This is mostly because the university is in the outskirts of London area, where Indians are comparatively less. I prefer cooking rather than eating outside. It would be better to bring some ready-to-cook items for the initial days.

Tips: Before joining the student must know all the required modules. They need to study before the course starts and know how to apply for scholarships because getting it is not a big task. I am highly satisfied with the country as well as the university along with students, the place is fun.
Likes (Post study jobs): Post study jobs are hard to find as very less companies sponsor you. Even after PSW it's difficult to get a job out here. But the packages are good and even the roles are good. Jobs are for software engineers and senior software engineers as well. All good roles are available you just need to find them.
Dislikes (Internships): Not many internships are available for the students. As it's just a one-year course and the schedule is really very hectic and it doesn't allow much time to apply for them. Internships are there but you need to search them thoroughly. Guidance will be given by the college to apply.

Try to build networks with people in your field.
Tips: The place is dull and dark and becomes lonely when no one is around. The university is stressful but hard work can help you steer your ship. The university has one of the best e-resources in the whole UK. You can take its help to overcome difficulties you face in your academic journey.
Likes (Indian Food): There are many good places to eat when it comes to native food cusines. I preferred eating outside, especially chaiwallas and the Rio's. There are restaurants run by people of sub-continental origin that make good and affordable food. There are Indian and Pakistani stores that sell groceries that help you cook food you are used to.
Dislikes (Internships): There are not many internships offered by the university but one can on his own go on a venture to find something relevant to his field. The main thing is that networking helps you get good opportunities and makes life easier for you. There is a great chance of success if only you put in sheer hard work and try to stay ahead.

Tips: The one thing that students must keep in their mind is that, please equip yourself with some work experience because the course is practical and you will get the advantage. It will be easier for you to get a decent job or internship. I hope this will help. Research well about your course structure as well.
Likes (Part time work): There are many part time job opportunities in the city. You can easily find a job using website like totaljobs, linkedin etc. I had many friends who used to work part-time in places like Subways, Primark, McDonald etc. I guess finding a job with Tier 2 is quite hard but not part time job.

Decent college for business
Tips: I am highly satisfied with the university and really looking forward to start a career now. The course and everything are really satisfying and this country I can't say is comfortable but yes has a bad climate and no sunlight at all. But people are fine.

Dislikes (Internships): Not much guidance is there when it comes to applying for internships. Likes (Public transportation): The public transport is well connected through the city of Southampton and you get a free bus pass when you live at student accommodation by the University and that is really of great help. Public transport is cheap and connects you through the entire city and no restrictions on the no. of times you travel.
Dislikes (Internships): Internship opportunities are fewer because part time student hours are less and there are restrictions on working full time on student visa. Don't think twice before joining the University of Southampton
Tips: Ranked 21st in the United Kingdom, the University of Southampton is an excellent educational institution to opt for. Fantastic infrastructure, a beautiful campus, and a great environment for group as well as solo studies as well. On-campus accommodation is okay and the food options available are full of variety for Indian students and students of other nationalities as well.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation in the whole of England is very smooth and well navigated. I have never had a single issue while commuting from the campus to my residence and vice versa. There are special discounts for the travel of students as well in London.
Dislikes (Internships): Internships at the University of Southampton are at par with industry standards. However, there is more focus on academia and placements. The university focuses more on getting students handy with the outside world's requirements. But, for internships, easy to find, students have to step on their own feet.

A great experience, but do research the UK job market before making a decision.
Tips: I'm happy with the course I took at the University of Southampton. However, I was disappointed with the lack of job opportunities. If you are considering this university, be prepared to put in extra effort. Study the previous year's papers and understand the exam pattern. Faculty members will help you if you ask. Also, scholarships are available for business-related courses but are rare for engineering courses.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation is very well connected to major parts of the city. The ticket prices are affordable if you’re a student, a student discount is available. The buses are frequent during the term time and very convenient. Transportation mode is mainly by bus. There’s a single train station in the city centre and an airport on the outskirts of the city.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Not many jobs are available right now. Especially for sponsored jobs, you’ll need to start searching very early on during the course. Dislikes (Indian Food): There are some good choices available for Indian food but cannot match the taste. Low in quality food is there. Many Indian hotels are there that give good food and apart from that, even the tiffin service is available. However, I prefer eating at home.
