A great experience, but do research the UK job market before making a decision.
Tips: I'm happy with the course I took at the University of Southampton. However, I was disappointed with the lack of job opportunities. If you are considering this university, be prepared to put in extra effort. Study the previous year's papers and understand the exam pattern. Faculty members will help you if you ask. Also, scholarships are available for business-related courses but are rare for engineering courses.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation is very well connected to major parts of the city. The ticket prices are affordable if you’re a student, a student discount is available. The buses are frequent during the term time and very convenient. Transportation mode is mainly by bus. There’s a single train station in the city centre and an airport on the outskirts of the city.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Not many jobs are available right now. Especially for sponsored jobs, you’ll need to start searching very early on during the course. Despite that, many people still haven’t landed a job and are doing part-time work to sustain.
PSW is another major expense at the end of the course. It’s a burden if you haven’t landed a job.
