Good education with value of money
Tips: At UB you'll meet people from different backgrounds, most are from India and then China. Besides just studying you'll grow a lot personally. When it comes to scholarships, there are a lot but always advise to apply for it before coming to university.
Likes (Value for money): Compared to other universities in US, fees at the University of Buffalo are much lower. And it depends on your field of study. If you are taking any course from management school it can cost you around 50 Lacs in INR and if it is any MS course it will go up to 30 Lacs in INR.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Settlement options depend on which company you are going to join. If it is a good company you may get H1B which is the first step of any F1 Student. There are other options like getting a green card through family, starting a start-up etc. But still, there are a lot of things that come to play. Overall settlement options are very limited for students from India.

Buffalo - A great place to live and study.
Tips: I think the transition has been very successful in part due to on-campus resources. Information regarding specific things is available online on the university website. I am satisfied with my experience of the university's course and the country. Also, you get very much less chance as an international student to qualify for university scholarship.
Likes (Post study jobs): The job market is good for probably all fields and in accordance with the current situation. Also, incoming students can start to apply for internships before they arrive in the US. The internship and co-ops have a very high chance of getting converted into a full-time job.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Finding employers who will sponsor your visa once you graduate is hard to find since most employers prefer in-state employees for whom they don't have to sponsor a visa. But this case is different for different fields and depends on case-by-case basis.

Difficult to find jobs. Overall, good university.
Tips: University is highly research-oriented with great labs. Good University with low tuition. If you join labs. Highly satisfied with the course and University. Getting visa is difficult. Specifically, H1B. It takes about 8-10 months to find a job.
Likes (Value for money): Tution fees is among the lowest in the US. The university is research-focused and research-oriented. You can finish Masters in less than 60 lakhINR. Good chances of getting campus dining jobs if you apply early. Few students get TA/RA too if you join labs. Buffalo is not too expensive as a city.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): I won't like to permanently settle in this country. The chances are close to nil. Getting a green card is close to impossible unless you marry a citizen. H1B visa is also difficult as more and more students come to study every year. The country is saturated with Indian students.

If you're interested in Computer Science and want to save money, this university is a good choice
Tips: I'll break it down into points and keep it simple. Pros:
- Above decent Computer Science courses
- Easy on the pockets compared to other universities.
- One of the biggest campuses in the entire New York State
- A wide range of daily events and exciting activities to enjoy with a variety of student clubs to join.
Cons:
- Harsh winters. (Although you get used to it)
- Poor on-campus job fair for international students. (You'll have to rely on online applications)
- Some programs require international students to enrol in 12 credit minimum per semester in the first two semesters.
Likes (Indian Food): You'll find Indian food options on campus as well as off-campus. $12-13 would be a good estimate for the meal price. The Campus Dining C3 on the North campus serves Indian food once a week and you'll find 2-3 other Indian restaurants on the North Campus. There are a couple of Indian restaurants and food trucks near the south campus as well.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): I would not recommend a permanent setting in Buffalo, as the temperatures tend to go very low and there aren't many companies around. It is a good idea to move to a different place in the USA after graduation. Although, while being a student, staying in Buffalo will help you save you substantial amount of money.

Univeriversity at Buffalo is satisfactory and also value for money.
Tips: It's a good college and one of the top colleges in any state, but Buffalo as a city is small and there isn't much happening but because it is a public university and fees is less it makes it all worth it. It's a little hard to get a part-time job since it's limited but since the cost of living is less it's okay to not have one.
Likes (Quality of faculty): All the faculty are very knowledgeable and they focus on practical experience rather than bookish knowledge. You gain a lot of hands-on knowledge of various tools and technologies. You also get a lot of support for learning new things and making your own projects.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): There are a lot of employees who would not want to sponsor international students making it hard for students to find a job. And with Buffalo being a medical town it doesn't have a lot of IT jobs. There are only a selected few places that would hire international students and sponsor their visas.

A sweet start but neverending anxiety and crying until you reach the last semeter.
Tips: If you are taking MS in CSE, it will be hectic. Especially because you have 4 courses every semester. Apart from that, the weather is harsh. Snowfall for 8 months. It is beautiful in summer, spring and fall but the winter is too much. You have to wear all your winter gear and make sure you wont get a frostbite. Try to find a part-time job to meet your expenses which would be helpful. Honestly, the curriculum was so hectic we didn't get the time to fully enjoy the student life in US. Although some of them did find a way. It's a great learning experience though. Try to meet professors and explore projects happening on campus. UB has solid courses and assignments also some professors are exceptional in teaching. You will like the first few snowfalls but not when you have to go for an early class in 3 feet of snow. The summer and spring are worth it. It's a whole package.
Likes (Public transportation): Stampedes (university buses) every 10-15 mins (if you are unlucky it might take 30min once in a while) that go from south campus to North campus. It has designated stops. Convenient and runs till late night. Also has a shuttle service if your house is far from the main circle.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are a couple of options on campus for Indian food. And a few near South campus where most of the students prefer to stay. For other Indian places, you have to go to downtown which is a bit far but has good options. Definitely try Zaika. For the first two semesters you won't be willing to spend $15-20 for a meal so will be cooking yourself until you get comfortable spending in dollars.

Tips: Temperatures are low so I would advise buying cold clothes upon arrival. I am very satisfied with the university as it gave me enough opportunities to prove myself. Also, the courses are flexible one can choose from management school as well as other engineering courses.
Likes (Value for money): Lower in fees and part time jobs are readily available. The living cost is low. One of the most reputed colleges in New York State with low affordable fees. The International Student Association is very responsive too. They also have many cultural events so that one can enjoy their festivals.

Indian food in the campus is decent.
Tips: Choose your specialization based on your interests and if you are planning to do PhD or thesis, then know more about the professor, go through their website and probably drop a mail regarding your interest in their work. Try to connect with alumni or current students via LinkedIn who might help you in choosing courses and all.
Likes (Part time work): Part time jobs can be easily availed and most of the students will get into at least one of them. There are several opportunities from dining to tech squad, so anyone who wants to work along with their studies can easily get into those. Also, it's quite manageable.
Dislikes (Indian Food): The Indian food in the campus is decent. But it makes you miss the masala and spiciness that you enjoyed in India. Other than that, there are many Indian cuisine restaurants in Buffalo, and as lots of Indian subcontinental students come here to pursue higher studies, the demand and supply is well balanced. So no worries about that. Also, there are multiple Indian bazaars here wherein you can get almost all the basic Indian stuff.

It’s a wonderful experience. Very liberating and educational.
Tips: The University at Buffalo is a great university with an amazing on-campus life. Almost everyone got placed via their internships and on-campus placements, and you make amazing friends and mentors in the process. You'll experience new cultures and it's very different from the Indian education system. I loved that I had to do so much research-based studies. Overall, I am fully satisfied with my course.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Everyone is up to date, and all the studies are case studies based, so it’s very research-oriented. You will enjoy doing group studies. Many of my studies were related to finding new case studies, presenting them in front of the class, and deciding how to decide in my own way.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Company roles that international students want are data analyst, research analyst, or research scientist. You can get such roles from campus fares, hiring, or internships that you apply for. There always is a PPO. Salary starts from 60,000-90,000 USD per annum.

Dublin City University has a strong curriculum and highly knowledgeable faculty.
Tips: Students should have a strong background in what they want to do after graduation. Without any experience in your chosen field, it's difficult to get a job here, especially for undergrad students. Also, students should develop some knowledge of programming, as the staff here doesn't go into enough detail before assigning assignments or dissertations. The campus is clean and has everything a student needs for their studies and activities. The teaching faculty is average, and you'll find all types of professors here. Some will be supportive, while others may not care. Overall, it's a fantastic campus that provides a variety of opportunities to help students expand their horizons.
Dislikes (Safety): I came to Ireland from another country. When I got here, I was accosted by a group of children who tried to steal my headphones. I was surprised and upset by their behaviour. I tried to reason with them, but they were intent on taking my headphones. I called the police, but they refused to do anything because the children were minors.

Tips: It's a great school in a beautiful country with wonderful people. Initially, catching up can be quite challenging especially for those familiar teaching methods compare to back home. However, as time pass by, the process becomes more adaptable and manageable with the support of the faculty. The open discussions between professors and students are particularly engaging and interesting allowing us to exchange diverse perceptive. Faculty members bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table, which they share enthusiastically, inspiring students to think critically and be innovative. One of the most remarkable aspects of the faculty is their openness and accessibility. Whether it is during lectures, office hours or through emails, they are always willing to assist during working hours and provide guidance on assignments and projects. Dislikes (Part time work): On-campus part-time jobs are limited, and the competition for the available positions is fierce. Off-campus employment opportunities are somewhat better, but it can take a while to find a suitable position. Personally, I have been able to manage my part-time work and studies, but I have less time for myself. The minimum wage here is 12.5.

Tips: Dublin City University (DCU) is perfect for someone looking to pursue greater heights academically and in other fields like sports. They maintain an excellent standard for themselves. So far in my time at DCU, they have offered the best college experience compared to my previous University.
Likes (Student Life): My current campus offers many facilities that my previous university didn't, such as a pharmacy, a supermarket, designed space to eat, and a proper canteen. Additionally, we're kept well-informed about various events and activities through their engaging Instagram pages.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Indian food available here is either overpriced or lacks authenticity, leaving me disappointed. Given the high cost and poor quality, I've realized that I could easily prepare the same dishes at home. Not only would it be more affordable, but it would also taste better.

Tips: Students should know that the transition will be heard as they move away from the safety of their home. The course has mostly Indians though, as I expected more diversity there. I got a scholarship of 2000 Euros for my course fee. The college can be rated as above average after TCD and UCD here in Dublin. It is a nice university, but the faculty could have been better, as a lot of new first-time professors in this January intake were here. Nonetheless, a lot of hard work and self-study are needed.

Good experience but a bad market with limited job.
Tips: At least have 2 years of experience otherwise, get some experience and come aboard. To get a scholarship you've to be an early applicant. It is completely random. Don't be shy to talk or ask questions. No one is going to judge you. People in the college are more friendly and make you feel more comfortable.
Likes (Part time work): Yow will land any part-time job. Visit directly to the place and talk to the manager about any available vacancy. This will increase your chance of landing a job. Don't apply online for a part-time job and wait for a reply. It never going to work like that.
Dislikes (Internships): There are no internship opportunities in Ireland. Here they prefer a graduate role. It's very rare to get an internship opportunity in Ireland. Since companies prefer a graduate role over an internship. It's limited in Ireland, as the majority of businesses focus on graduate employment.

Tips: Students should be aware of their program's prerequisites and the registration procedure when they attend DCU. Attend the campus resources orientation and seek assistance from student services. Keep track of your assignments and due dates. Join organizations and groups to get a well-rounded experience. If you don't reside on campus, schedule your commute.
Likes (Public transportation): Direct Bus: A direct bus service that connects DCU and Palmerstown may not exist. Dublin Bus, however, has several routes that can get you there. For instance, you might have to ride the bus from DCU to the city centre, where you'll need to change to another one that goes to Palmerstown. Routes: The 25, 66, and 67 are frequently used routes in the Palmerstown region. For comprehensive route information and real-time updates, visit the Dublin Bus website.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Like if you get a job then you will have to renew your stamp to 1G and from stamp 2 which is a student visa. After that if you get a job then you can get a critical skills visa that is stamp 1 directly after living for 2 years u are eligible for stamp 4.

Easy going, friendly environment with a big campus and a huge library.
Tips: Before joining this college students should check for scholarships. The people here are friendly and the professors are fantastic to work with. The course was kind of challenging but you get guidance from professors. It's a really small country and everyone knows each other moreover most of the people are friendly.
Likes (Student Life): The student union, fun events and there are Nubar to the hill as well. There are three different campuses and if you have a DCU ID you can stroll around during free time. Glasnevin campus is huge one St. Patrick's campus is the smallest. They do have cultural events too.
Dislikes (Internships): Not really, internships are pretty tough to get. I did not find any internships related to my course and as I have a good experience I focused more on getting a full time job. But if you can try your luck on LinkedIn to find internships or apprenticeships.

My experience at Dublin City University was wonderful and memorable.
Tips: Students should have some background knowledge about the course and how the job market is for those roles. I got a scholarship of 4000 based on my previous academic scores.
I did my master's completely online as I was in the Covid batch, for which I felt the fee was a bit high. The quality of teaching is very good and I’d recommend it to anybody.
Likes (Post study jobs): I got my job based on my previous experience. However, studying at this university was also an add-on advantage to getting a job. I have worked in two companies after graduation, both sponsored visas for work.
I working in automation testing and my salary was between 35-40k during the first year.
Dislikes (Safety): I have heard from my friends who live in that area that the locality is not very safe. Teenagers bully people and steal from them. I’ve also heard the neighbourhood is very quiet and some students find it difficult to walk alone at times.
Other than that the student accommodation is safe and friendly.

Excellent, approachable, helpful and friendly faculty that motivates us to do good.
Tips: You get to learn a lot of things when you are coming as an international student. There are cultural shifts and also there are many things here that are not the same as in India but we all get adjusted to those things easily. Overall, I am really satisfied.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Very approachable and friendly. Everything theoretical things are shown practically with live examples and also industrial experiences of professors help understand problems more deeply. The helping nature of the faculty motivates us to study and the strict faculty always keeps us on our toes.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The year 2024 is not too good for the job as there are many people and very few jobs. Ireland was not ready for this much intake which has caused trouble here. Very few companies are offering sponsorship and the salary is a minimum of 35,000 Euros per year.

Tips: No attendance, going to college is optional which is a big plus. Good online study portal to access all the study material. All classroom lecture recordings are uploaded by lecturers and are available by the EOD on the online study portal and there is a fair marking system for assignments.
Likes (Safety): It is a good and safe university to study. However, the surrounding areas are very unsafe to live in. I would suggest upcoming students research more about the unsafe places in Dubin and get accommodation in good areas. Teenagers are causing a big problem in Ireland mainly in a few areas of Dublin. Some mob will come hit you and may cause you severe injuries, but still, you may not get help from anybody including the government and they won't even get punished by law. So choose a good area to live in and travel by bus and with friends mostly.
Dislikes (Internships): We have to apply to companies for internships or jobs. University won't bring any companies like how it happens in India. Some companies will come to the college to advertise their companies and during that time if there are any relevant companies we can ask them and check if there are any jobs available. If yes we have to apply through their company's careers page.

DCU has a great campus with helpful professors.
Tips: I didn't get any scholarship since I applied for this college before I finished my Bachelors. Had I applied it later I would have gotten at least a 2000 Euro scholarship. I am very much satisfied with the country and the courses they provides, the university also as a whole was very good and affordable when I came here.
Likes (Safety): Everything regarding safety is very good for me in this city. The only people who look down are the other Indians in this country since many carry on with an attitude. I don't like to speak to any other Indians except my friends since whenever I approached any other Indians they were rude to me initially.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): I don't have a job at the moment since I require sponsorship to stay in this country but given a chance to permanent reside in the country, I would take that chance since it has greater benefits and is very lively. In the initial days I wanted to leave the country but as the time passes you get adjusted to it.

Amazing university, amazing faculty and a huge learning opportunity.
Tips: If someone is joining a technical course, they should be well rehearsed with the technology taught in the course as mostly everything is taught through applied principles. So one should prepare beforehand as it is going to be tough to study a STEM course here.
Likes (Internships): DCU gives opportunities for internships for under graduates and also for Masters. They give opportunities to take internships in their research programs. In my course Intel comes every year, they select 10 students for a job offer and also 3000 Euros scholarship.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Indian food is hard to get as it is expensive and if you cook yourself it will be better. It doesn't depend on the college you choose, for food, you have to learn cooking. Indian cooking material is easily available. Almost everything. For dosa lovers I would suggest bring dosa pan from India and bring cooker as well.

The college has good coaching facility
Tips: Before joining the college students should know what is the accommodation status in the vicinity. Since, in Dublin, there is a scarcity of rooms and usually college accommodation is fairly high so be prepared. Other than that people are welcoming here. There are a lot of sports which one can try out.
