The University of Liverpool is a space for exploring and enhancing your knowledge and skills.
Tips: Students should try to find more scholarships that your courses offer, you will get all the necessary information on the university website. I suggest that you try to connect with the alumni and ask them for suggestions. They can provide you with valuable information that can help you make an informed decision. Find nearby accommodation before joining the course in person for easy accessibility. Try to be a part of as many societies as possible and connect people from your department before joining for better advice. Use the international student ambassador facility to have a chat to clear your doubts with university representatives.

A mistake during covid time. Think twice before joining this university.
Tips: This course is not worth the money. You can look for other universities within the same fee range. The university does some scholarships, you don’t need to apply separately but make sure that SOP is perfect. I was fortunate to receive the ULMS Future Leaders Scholarship worth 24500.
Likes (Public transportation): The public transportation is very good. Frequent bus service from all parts of the city plus train service from nearby met cities. Quite affordable, bus tickets are 2 pounds for a single and a day pass is around 5 pounds, which is quite reasonable compared to other cities, but trains are expensive.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): There is uncertainty regarding visa rules and the government. The UK job market is not stable at all and it is better to look for other countries at this point. The job market is saturated and clearly, it's a joke. I would personally recommend Australia, the US and Germany.

University is fun but it can not guarantee about jobs.
Tips: The University of Liverpool is a different experience for me from the university I went to in India. This has much more to offer in terms of education, entertainment, sports, and everything except for jobs. Maybe I sound pessimistic, but it's really difficult to find a job here, I have not gotten a good full-time job, let alone not even a part-time job. So, if bagging a job is your main goal, you have to give a lot of effort.

The university environment is great and the faculty is understanding, approachable and helpful.
Tips: Before joining this college, students should know that it's essential to understand that the academic workload can be quite demanding, especially if you're pursuing a rigorous programme. The faculty is highly knowledgeable and approachable, but they expect a lot from students, so be
prepared for a challenging yet rewarding academic experience. The campus is vibrant with a wide variety of clubs and activities, so there's always something happening. Additionally, the student support services are excellent, offering help with everything from academics to mental health, which can make a big difference, especially during the first year. Transitioning to this college was both exciting and challenging. Academically, I had to adjust to a faster-paced curriculum and different grading standards compared to what I was used to. The first few months were tough, but I soon found a rhythm that worked for me. Socially, it took some time to find my group of friends, but joining clubs and participating in campus events helped a lot. I also became more independent and confident, learning how to manage my time effectively and balance studies with extracurricular activities.

Great public transportation to explore the city and the country.
Tips: The University of Liverpool is a fun place to pursue a Master's degree. I graduated with my Bachelor's degree from an under-average college, so I decided to pursue a good university. This university is in the Russel group and one of the most prestigious in the world. I'm a big football fan, and LFC and Beatles are here so, I had my reasons to come here. Make sure you have the right reasons before selecting a university. Look out for internship or part-time opportunities as well. Public transportation is almost always available so make sure to use the best of it to explore the city.

One of the best universities if you can bare the expenses.
Tips: I am satisfied with the University and the faculty, the kind of assignments we are assigned and everything but this place is very costly to live and the fees are high compared to other universities. The city is dangerous but university is ok.
Tips: While the environment in the university is friendly and fun loving. I may not say the same about the city as I lost my bike in the first month I bought it also, one of my friend got robbed on the streets of Liverpool. So be careful while roaming on the roads at night. Apart from that, all the universities are actually the same, you need to work on your own and getting your work done.

University of Liverpool is a happening place.
Tips: The city itself is a happening place, there will be parties going on every day. There are many museums, hikes, pubs in and around Liverpool. Getting a part time maybe a bit difficult for the first few months but if you get one its gonna be sorted actually. University is really big with around 30,000 students with lots of activities and sports facilities, you will not have the time to feel bored if you go for all the activities.

A good choice if you can bare the fees.
Tips: Being one of the Russel group universities, this university of Liverpool is really a good choice if you're considering UK. The reason I choose this university in the first place was that it is academically oriented, its a party place, it has many sports clubs if you want to experience an overall university feel, this could be the one or else there are other universities with less fees.

Tips: University environment is really friendly and the staff guides you to help you in all the ways possible. I haven't faced any racism after coming here and in fact I became the president of badminton club. Coming to the studies, every student needs to do their own research and work at least 2 hours a day on their own to get good grades.

This is a really good University and we have many programmes to enhance our skills.
Tips: I was fortunate enough to receive a scholarship from the University of Liverpool, which greatly alleviated the burden of my studies. The scholarship process involved submitting my academic records, a personal statement and letters of recommendations. My course is intellectually stimulating and offers a perfect blend of theoretical knowledge and practical applications.
Likes (Public transportation): It's 32 for each trip, easily accessible buses. National Express runs to and from different cities anytime. The transport is easily available and the station is nearby. The trains are also available but the station close at 12 midnight hence traveling by bus is really easy.
Dislikes (Part time work): The part time options are limited. You usually have to go far in search of work also mostly you get work as a warehouse operative. You need to travel to different nearby cities and getting job in city centre is a bit difficult. You can join agencies and work at different places.

Gold standard teaching with all the resources you might need during your graduation.
Tips: Definitely a cultural shift. Learn cooking but adapt to local food as you won't get much time to cook. And if you get a part time job then just forget about cooking you will be eating outside almost every day. Life is pretty fast here as compared to India.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Better feedback loops and overall quality of teaching. Most of the modules are up to Date and are revised every year. Faculty members are well trained and all of them have PhDs. They will only teach you what needed. Also the way they teach here is quite different from India in a better way.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There is only 1 or 2 shops where you can find Indian food and spices. Although the western options at other places are good. Try to change your eating habits. Try to bring as much as you can as it took me about 2 months to get around with the food here. Definitely bring atleast 6 months stock of spices if you tend to cook.

You're good as long as you work hard
Tips: University of Liverpool is one of the most prestigious universities in the world and it has a really good QS ranking. The lecturers have good experience in their fields but few of them are not competent. But Masters is about doing work on our own and getting greater knowledge that can be only done by good reading materials and support, so as long as you strive hard, you're in good hands.

It's a good choice if you wanna do data science
Tips: The University of Liverpool is better than other universities in UK for my course for people who are newly getting into Data Science. I got a 5000-pound scholarship when I applied for this university. Before coming here, I had no idea what data Science was but this course starts from the basics so I understood everything from scratch. Life here is smooth yet a bit challenging at times.
Tips: Liverpool gives you a different type of experience with the people and academics. So don't have to worry about anything. The lives of international students are actually good. It's not too hard or too easy. Before coming here just make sure you can survive here without your family.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The staff are the best in this university. They give their best in academics and other things. They are very helpful and the way they teach us is very interesting. It gives us motivation to study and gain knowledge in the subjects. Some staff are strict which you need sometimes.
Dislikes (Safety): I've seen some roadside fights and people using guns. So it's not that safe here. At night there are my kids or people my age creating problems in the roadside making it difficult for the other people in the area. Thieves are there so we have to always keep an eye on our cycle or car or anything.

They take all student suggestions seriously. Good place to be.
Tips: The best thing I like about this college is that they take student suggestions into consideration even when you are an International student with any culturally oriented suggestion. I have seen this happening be it with faculty or with the administration. There are many Indian and South Asian students here and student bodies are doing extremely well. If you are coming here make sure to be a bit outgoing and extroverted it will help in making friends and meeting new people. I am satisfied with my course too it is pretty advanced yet precise and industry-oriented. The faculty also goes beyond academics which is what I like and expect.
Likes (Part time work): Part-time work is readily available here. No problem with that. I work in Anfield which is the stadium of Liverpool FC and I couldn't be more thankful to find this opportunity at this great place. You'll find part-time work here but on campus is not easy outside there is work available.
Dislikes (Internships): Internships are particularly tough to find and there is not much guidance given on after-study support and assistance. In my course, there are not many internship opportunities and it makes it very difficult when the university doesn't help much we have to look for internships on our own and let's say if we find good ones then we are lucky. Try making connections with your seniors from the same course in freshman year only that will help a bit.

Tips: Being one of the Russel group universities, University of Liverpool provides high-class education and the lecturers are highly skilled and knowledgeable. Some of them are really not that good at articulating their ideas but most of them are good actually. A proper international experience.
Tips: I have been to Europe before so cultural shock was not a thing for me. But if someone is aiming for France, he/she must know French. I didn't get any scholarships but there are several scholarships and government aid available. Overall it was a good experience.
Likes (Safety): France is considered as one of the safest countries in the world. It's usually safe to go out even at night. I had great experience but some people around me have had an experience with pickpocketers. You have to be cautious around the touristic areas.
Dislikes (Part time work): It's difficult for the students who don't speak French. Also, not many part-time jobs are available for students as their schedules might clash with the work hours. The college also provides some internship options though part-time is usually manageable.

The university is great and the faculty is experienced and talented.
Tips: Students should learn French to get jobs and prepare the materials for the class assignment. You can get scholarships if you are doing a two-year Master's programme. There are also early bird discounts that are available when you apply for the universities. The early bird is normally available to everyone.
Likes (Quality of faculty): As all the faculty members are the top executives of the company, their teaching is valuable as it is with experience. Most of the teachers have their own way of teaching, some start directly with the assignment or use cases, and some basically start with theory and give you assignments to do.
Dislikes (Internships): For internships, the students are required to speak French to get selected. Internships are available and there are many opportunities but one needs the minimum level of French, B1 level to get the job. The silver lining is that one can apply to other European countries.

A wonderful stepping stone for a brighter future.
Tips: Students should know that there's a lot of work that you have to do even if you go home to complete your assignments. There is no campus placement as such. The university will just guide you for internships but you're on your own. I'm pretty satisfied with the university.
Likes (Student Life): There are a lot of clubs and communities that are there at the campus. They organise various events that you can participate in, which can be both academic as well as social. Most college days you are going to be busy. If you are free explore the city with your friends.
Dislikes (Internships): Finding internships related to your coursework is very hard in the first year since you're doing a generalised course for the 1st year. I had to find my internship so did my friends so try to find an internship by yourself.

Amazing student life with lots of excitement and experiences.
Tips: The most important thing is language. Students aiming for France for higher studies should learn French. This will help them be it with socializing and getting part time jobs, internships and full time, etc. I availed a scholarship of 3000 and there is one government scholarship that one student from India can attain. Other than that there are college scholarship which depends on the previous marks and all.
Likes (Student Life): The college life was amazing. The campus is in front of the French River. The campus building is small comparatively but being in Paris it was fine. We had different clubs and used to have parties every Thursday. There are international student clubs, clubs for finance and clubs for co-curricular activities.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Well, there are not many Indian food options around the campus and some of them are very expensive so I generally just eat at a fast food chain. I generally prefer cooking myself because it's cost effective and cheaper than eating at the restaurants, that too in Paris which is very expensive for a student.

Good University and a great transportation facilities.
Tips: Students should know that there is huge cultural shift, as French people do a lot of things different than us, one of which is their winner circle is really small. Sometimes you feel more like a colleagues/classmates rather than a friend. I got the excellence scholarship at Skema, I got it just by I had good grades in my Bachelors and a some professional experience. The school is great, the teachers are really helpful and possess great knowledge, you'll get all the tools for your learning, but the only con is if you're a foreigner than its a relatively hard task to land a job because of all the legalities involved.
Likes (Safety): The city is very safe, and they have night buses and people are always ready to help, if they see you in trouble they come to the rescue. The police are always patrolling and are always active. Although there are a few areas where you have to be a little extra cautious.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): As we are not European passport holders, for us to work in Europe we need the company to sponsor us, and that's the cost that very few companies will be willing to take. But a lot of people landed a job it's a matter of time and it tests your patience.

Tips: You must be at least B1 level in French before you decide to study in France, even though the courses are in English you must know French to get internships and full time offers easily. For international students there are numerous scholarships available (like Eiffel scholarships, etc. ). The deadline for these scholarships ends early, so one must be vigilant to apply for these scholarships before the deadline. I am satisfied with the course and country. Skema is a great option only if you are ready to embrace the challenges.
Tips: 1. Cultural shift was definitely there. I suggest students to learn French up to A2 level so that it becomes easy to integrate.
2. You can apply for Skema academic excellence scholarship during your application process. It's 3000 Euro off for 2 year course.
3. I'd say it's satisfactory when it comes to course and university. The country probably not that much, considering the language and cultural barriers.
Likes (Public transportation): You can reach the city centre in 20-30 minutes easily. Options like Train (Line L), Tram, Bus and RER A, and metro 1 are available. Paris has excellent public transportation overall. The connectivity is great and you'd have no problems reaching your place any time of the day. Students get an Imagine R pass for 365 Euros per year with unlimited travel.
Dislikes (Value for money): Considering the ranking and reputation of the college, it is justified to an extent. But when I compare my tuition fees with my friends' colleges it's a bit on the higher side. If you manage to get a scholarship, that'll help a lot and hence you get the value for your money.

Adapting French culture with excellent support from Skema Business school.
Tips: Students should know that there are many cultural differences. The food is different, the French administration is very slow and also there are sometimes ongoing strikes. University helps you with everything from finding accommodation, opening bank accounts, visa issues and everything. I'm happy with my course as it's both practical and theoretical. I got merit based scholarship of 5K Euros. Skema Business School is renowned all over Europe so it's easy to get internship/ jobs.
Likes (Public transportation): Paris has one of the best transport systems in the world. They have transportation 24*7. They have metro, buses, trams and RER which connect suburbs to the city center. The public transport costs 45 per month for the students and adults it will be 78. Also once you get an internship/job you get reimbursement of your metro pass.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are many Indian food options available in Paris. Even for someone like me who is vegetarian, there are many options. I prefer cooking myself at home. If someone is vegetarian there are many options available like Greek food, Mexican and Italian foods and also Lebanese kebabs.

Good College Experience: The hub of learning & growth
Tips: Before joining the college, students should be clear about the institution's culture, academic programs, career opportunities, and resources as well. The University comes in top ranking colleges, and the quality of education & campus life are good here. One thing I'll recommend to any student who is planning to study here is before arriving, you just learn their native language at least A2 level, it'll be a huge plus point for you. About the scholarship, I didn't find it more beneficial for me, than this campus-university. But the education quality is very digitalised in Skema- Sophia Campus. This area comes in the southern part of France. Here are many beautiful things like arts & museum, zoo park and a helpful culture. About transportation, here you'll find buses and trains, which connect from city to city. Bus services exist here in a modern way and are very helpful for international students and other people.

Not value for money but the course and faculty members are good.
Tips: There has been a huge transformation since I joined and got to know more and more diverse group work etc.
I was not offered any scholarship nor I was offered any allowance.
The satisfaction is neutral I was not impressed or satisfied nor was I upset.
Likes (Quality of faculty): It is easy to approach the faculty members. They made the most effort to make us feel more welcomed and we were very impressed.
The methodology was different and good.
Highly diverse campus even though there were many Indians too, many other country students were also there.
Dislikes (Value for money): The college is in no way value for money as it's too expensive. The courses might be good but not effective. I was expecting more and more but it was not as I thought it would be. The fees was too high compared to other colleges which offered similar courses for a lesser price with the same options.

MSc Financial Markets & Investments - Batch of 2019

A Top Pre-experience Finance Program
Tips: Living and studying in Paris is an exquisite experience, and changes your outlook greatly. You get to mingle with people from diverse backgrounds and be comfortable with all the hardships a student life brings.
There are multiple scholarships to avail, such as the Eiffel scholarship, plus your school might have scholarships for its students.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty of my programme was absolutely top-notch. These are people with PHDs, as well as long years of practical work experience in the most celebrated, big names of the financial industry. There is a lot to learn from them, in terms of both academics and industry experience.
Dislikes (Part time work): I was part of the 1 year M.Sc. Financial Markets and Investment programme. This is one the most elite finance programs in Europe, and while you are pursuing it, you will hardly get any time for part time jobs. Taking up a part-time job will have severe consequences on your studies, as the course is quite intensive, with 2-3, 3-hour classes on most days, apart from assignments, and exams. You would most certainly have other household chores as well, leaving you with little time. Anyway, finding a part-time job in Paris is not easy, especially if you don't speak French.

Highly professional and career oriented.
Tips: Well, it's important to have the basic French language understanding in order to have smooth running of your day to day activities. Understanding French etiquettes is also important but you can learn that as you start living there. I got a scholarship from Diplomeo of 700 euros. The course was very intense but one of the flagship course that the School had in their offerings. It was more practical which enables us to apply the topics studied in the real world. The country is rich in its culture and I enjoyed every bit of it. From the people, the places and the artistic living, the etiquettes, it was all worth it !

Good college. Academically oriented.
Tips: You should have a good command of French language for securing your internship or job. Professors are good and are really willing to teach you even beyond the books and classroom. There is no cultural shift. And I did not get any scholarship.
University is good, but sometimes it becomes difficult for international students to secure a job without knowing French.
Likes (Safety): Safety is good in Lille. Nobody is going to bother you in terms of safety. It's a very safe place to stay for education and otherwise. People are really helpful and good and nobody is bothered about what you are doing. You will find a lot of other students as well in the city.
Dislikes (Internships): You have to find the internships on your own. The school is only going to guide you and there is no surety that you will have an internship on completion. You will have to manage on your own for an internship and in France it's difficult if you are not able to speak French.

Academics is fine, but you have to look out for yourself regarding your job and your future life.
Tips: Students planning to come here should learn French. You can follow any culture here, with no issues. I got no scholarship. Teaching is okay, but there are less practical aspects and knowledge plus finding a job is difficult without French. The teaching sometimes feels that there is only bookish knowledge.
Likes (Safety): Lille is a very good city to live and roam around. There are no safety concerns if you are well behaved. There is no gender discrimination or anything, everybody on the campus speaks English. The people in the city are also helpful and will not bother you much.
Dislikes (Part time work): As an international student, if you don't know French, it's difficult to find a part-time job. Very difficult to manage with the course, as the class timings are not fixed. They change it very frequently, so it's difficult to manage plus it would be really hectic. The payout will be something around 12 Euros/hour.

Having some knowledge of French would help!
Tips: While all the courses are conducted in English, one must have minimal elementary knowledge of French to have access to greater job opportunities. Researching and having a preference for one's electives and track courses in the future can help one build a strong profile from the start.

A year well spent at Skema BS
Tips: Well, I say before joining any of the French universities/Business schools I recommend learning French for a min of 3 levels otherwise it becomes tough to find internships/jobs post studies. In terms of student life SKEMA BS is good and there are many good places to hang out around.
Likes (Safety): Well LILLE is a student-friendly city and much safe when compared to the capital city Paris. It's a student-friendly environment. Quality of teaching I feel it was average even though many of the professors were from the Ph.D. background. Now there is a slight increase in fees as well so I suggest you check twice before joining this institute.
Dislikes (Internships): From the talent & careers department in Skema BS, mass recruitment took place where many of the companies just took our resume and didn't bother to reply, so post studies it's really tough to find an internship/job by just knowing the basics of local language.

Maximizing opportunities at SKEMA Business School, Paris.
Tips: Before joining SKEMA Business School in Paris, students should understand that SKEMA's Paris campus offers access to key industries like finance, consulting, and luxury, providing significant networking opportunities in a global business hub. However, the local job market is competitive, so students should be proactive in networking and consider learning French, as many local roles require language skills despite SKEMA's support for non-French speakers. Paris is an expensive city, so students should plan their finances carefully, considering both tuition and living costs. SKEMA also has career services that support students with workshops, resume building, and recruitment events, but it's up to students to take advantage of these resources early on. France provides favourable post-study work visas and potential residence pathways, which can be a big draw for international students looking to settle in Europe. While SKEMA is well-regarded in Europe, those with plans to work outside may want to assess its recognition in specific regions. By planning for language needs, budgeting for living expenses, and actively engaging in the school's networking and career resources, students can make the most of their SKEMA experience and position themselves well for their careers.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): France has established itself as a supportive destination for international graduates, particularly with the "Talent Passport" scheme, which facilitates a smooth transition for graduates looking to work and settled in the country. SKEMA, as a well-regarded institution, enables students to access a Post-Study Work Visa (APS), allowing them to remain in France for up to two years to search for job opportunities in their field. During this period, graduates often secure permanent positions, which can eventually lead to eligibility for longer-term residence. Further Graduates from SKEMA thus find themselves well-positioned to apply for permanent residence, leveraging both their degree and professional experience in France. The combination of supportive immigration policies, an accessible post-study work visa, and SKEMA's network and industry tries to create a favourable environment for international students seeking long-term career and residence prospects in France.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The school provides solid support for career advancement and its strategic location offers significant industry exposure. Being in Paris, SKEMA students have access to a wide range of sectors, including finance, luxury, tech, and consulting, and SKEMA's strong industry tries to facilitate internships and networking events, giving students a good starting point for their careers. The school's curriculum emphasises practical skills and digital innovation, helping students develop competencies sought by employers. Additionally, SKEMA's alumni network in Europe provides valuable mentorship and job referrals. However, there are some limitations. For international students, language can be a barrier, as many local positions require proficiency in French, which may limit job options without sufficient language skills, even though SKEMA offers language support. The French job market can also be competitive, especially for international roles in top companies, so students need to be proactive in networking and job searching.

Life of an international student in Paris.
Tips: The French culture is a bit closed and being direct, people are accepting of international students but only until they are students. It is quite hard to find a job in France. Language is a big problem, students of Indian origin do not speak or know French and even though the course would be in English, one cannot survive without knowing French. Finding a job without French is almost as impossible.
