University College Cork has very limited internship opportunities.
Tips: Life is struggling in Ireland. The transportation system isn't very good, and the cost of tuition for non-EU students is high. However, I did receive a scholarship that lowered my tuition by 5,000 euros, so the university is good. In Ireland, college rankings don't matter but your skills will help you get a job.
Likes (Safety): Ireland is generally very safe with low crime rates. However, there is always room for improvement. The city and university provide various safety facilities, such as well-lit streets. During my time in Ireland, I never encountered any serious safety concerns.
Dislikes (Internships): The one-year master's program left little room for pursuing such opportunities. Given the time constraints and scheduling conflicts, the available internships were not tailored to fit into our academic calendar.

Dislikes (Internships): Internships are rarely available and challenging to secure without strong referrals, often proving difficult even with them. Unfortunately, the college does not provide much assistance in this process, leaving students to rely heavily on personal networks and persistence.

UCC is a great university to pursue post graduate degree in.
Tips: The university offers various courses. Find the ones that are actually in demand in the country that align with your ambitions in your career and enrol. The consultant often tells you a particular course is high in demand, so do your research and get in. The country is very safe for women on public transport and the university campus was very welcoming. The city and people are friendly and welcoming. The Garda or police are helpful to foreigners as well. It is a nice country but competitive too. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experience here.

Tips: The culture shift is huge in terms of work culture, but it's quite easygoing with a lot of self-development time. The university provides scholarships based on individual academic performance, and I received one based on my class 10 and 12 performance, as well as my bachelor's degree.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): Permanent settlement in Ireland is an easy option, as it takes just 5-6 years to get permanent residency. Although I haven't given any thought to permanent immigration, it wouldn't be a bad idea to stay here for 5-10 years and then consider other options.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are not many proper Indian restaurants to choose from. The pricing depends on the restaurant's location. The pricing is on a bit higher side with one main dish costing around 17-18 Euros. The restaurant isn't up to the mark as per Indian taste. Cooking yourself can be a better option.

Tips: Before you join this college, you should make sure that you have the prerequisites for the course you are applying to. You should also network on LinkedIn and connect with professors and the Indian Alumni community to get an understanding of life there. Finally, you should prepare a rough version of your resume according to their standards before you go.
Likes (Indian Food): I prefer cooking for myself, and I was able to find all the ingredients I needed at the local stores. There is a large Indian community in Cork, and there are many Indian restaurants and stores that serve a wide variety of Indian cuisines. If you prepare beforehand, food should not be a concern.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Post-study jobs depend entirely on the skill set the candidate possesses and networking done in the due course of time. Students should talk to the university staff and people pursuing other advanced courses in the college. Participate in career fairs and meet new people every day to learn more.

Tips: First of all, I don't know how to do cooking. I have managed to do it somehow and yes, we have to manage a lot of things on our own.
We can get a normal University scholarship here. I am satisfied with the learnings from people belong to different backgrounds. Course's syllabus is industry relevant. There are so many things which we learn when we move abroad. I personally got to learn so many things about food and culture in Ireland.
Likes (Student Life): It depends on the which day of the week and when does the class begins. I typically start my day going to college library and then to classes. There are lots of cultural events being organised in the college, as well as in the city. In the month of September, there is a cultural night and also every year in Cork city, there is a Jazz festival wherein all the music artists come. If we talk about clubs and communities, lots of clubs and students from different nationalities are a part of them including sports and consulting. And of course there is an Indian society as well.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There any many Indian food outlets in the city. I prefer cooking instead of going out as it is cheaper and convenient. I prefer going to grocery store and do grocery shopping for a week and then cook which can be a time-consuming thing, but it saves a lot of expenses.

Cork is a Welcoming City and UCC is the heart of Cork.
Tips: I would highly recommend gaining work experience before coming to this country. There was a cultural shift when I landed here but now, we are getting used to it. I got a scholarship of 1000 Euros because of the grades and Work Experience that I had. I'm very satisfied with the overall experience.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): The process is simple if we have landed in a Job and if we work for 4-6 years. It then becomes sure that we will be getting the PR easily in Ireland. I would like to be the president of this country, given that I land up a Job and stay employed for 4-6 years.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I live in Cork and the Indian food options are very limited as we have one restaurant in the city and one more in the outskirts of Cork. So, it's quite difficult to have Indian food. A Biryani would be costing 15-20 Euros (approximately 1400-2000 INR). I prefer cooking myself as I cook lots of dishes.

UCC: A transformative experience.
Tips: Before joining, students should know that the college offers a supportive learning environment but requires time management due to the academic workload. I experienced a cultural shift, especially adjusting to diverse perspectives and independent living but the transition was smooth. Student life is great as it offers a great balance of academics and fun. My day is filled with classes, group work, and time spent with friends. I enjoy the sense of community the most. The campus hosts various events like cultural fests, guest lectures, and sports activities, and there are many student clubs as well. Overall I am very satisfied with the university, course and experience in this country enriching both academically and personally.
Dislikes (Value for money): The faculty are very knowledgeable, supportive, and accessible. The teaching method is practical, with an emphasis on real-world applications through case studies and group projects. The faculty is diverse, with members from different nationalities, which contributes a variety of perspectives to the learning experience.

The academics is stressful with more assignments and exams.
Tips: There were many Indians in my course, so I didn't feel much of a cultural shift. I received a basic scholarship from my college of around 2000 Euros which every student will get but didn't get the full scholarship that I expected. Additionally, the college doesn't provide placements, so I had to look for one off-campus. Overall, I'm not completely satisfied with my experience at UCC.
Likes (Indian Food): I prefer to cook for myself, and there was an Asian shop near my home where I could buy lentils and other ingredients. The price of ingredients varied depending on the product. For example, a 10kg bag of rice costs 28 Euros, and 500 grams of toor dal costs about 3 Euros. Vegetables were quite expensive compared to India, 300 grams of ladies' fingers cost about 3 Euros.
Dislikes (Internships): I didn't participate in an internship during my course of study because my course didn't have an internship program. Additionally, our professors advised us not to seek internships or part-time employment during our studies. As a result, I didn't receive any guidance from the college about internships. I'm not sure if there are any internships available that are relevant to my field of study.

The university has a wonderful, warm and excellent college atmosphere.
Tips: It was a cultural shock for me when I came here but as it's being said slowly and gradually you start loving it. Becoming independent and decision-making is the best thing that happened to me after coming here. I am very much satisfied with the work culture. I got a scholarship of 2000 Euros.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): You can avail the citizenship in 5 years after being a regular taxpayer and it depends if I want to avail that opportunity as I am here for 3 years and 2 years doing the job. It also depends on the company if they want to sponsor you otherwise you can sponsor yourself as well once your job is in the critical list of occupations and general as well. If you wish to stay here for a long tenure you will be getting ample opportunities. Last but not least patience is the key, always remember that.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): It depends on the company-to-company basis, but if you have some work experience before coming for a Master's definitely you will be getting an edge over freshers and you can get a job easily, being technical never goes out of fashion. If you have more than 3 years' experience then the country is for you, they need technical professionals.

Thorough evaluation and thought must be given before you commit to the course.
Tips: The course was quite stressful and didn't have a lot of options including some hidden conditions such as only qualifying for your full master's degree on scoring a 60 above on average. The course isn't designed for fresh graduates. You are in a much better position if you approach this after at least 5 years of experience.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty were pretty approachable but there are a few who weren't. Overall staff were pretty accessible. But most of them do not entertain or support questions / provide support post examinations. Make sure you have a clear path after graduation to ensure a stress-free transition from student life to graduate life.
Dislikes (Indian Food): A lot of options are available but they do end up being quite pricey for a meal. Indian food is quite hard to find in Cork but it is available but slightly pricey so it is better to buy groceries and have homemade meals. Also, avail of student discounts wherever possible and claim free memberships from larger stores to help save some extra cash.

A friendly university with good and helpful people.
Tips: Please arrange for accommodation before arriving. If you cannot, please book student accommodation or a hostel for your initial few days so that you don't struggle for shelter. People in Ireland and at UCC in particular are very friendly and I would recommend interacting with locals. As in every other country, locals will respect you more if you do not impose your culture on them but rather share and learn the local culture too.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I prefer trying new cuisines and the Indian food quality in Cork is average although you would find Indian restaurants. The local pubs have nice food and the English market has quality meat and seafood. Cork City has some great restaurants and bakeries that serve local and European cuisine.

Tips: There is always a cultural shift and students coming here should keep that in mind. Networking is important, and talking to people helps through the transition. Students can get scholarships based on their Bachelors grade. Overall I am very satisfied with the university, the course structure, teaching and opportunities.
Likes (Safety): There are no concerns for safety in Cork City, but it is always better to be careful and sensible. People can travel late night. My advice would be not to be careless when it comes to safety. There maybe drunk people or junkies roaming late night so if you are walking late make sure you are in a group and not alone.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The job opportunities are not many at the moment. There are lots of immigrants and the market is relatively small so chances of getting permanent residence is difficult. My advice would be if someone is a fresher or with less than 3 years of experience then they should delay their travel to Ireland and get some proper experience first atleast 5 years. Ireland has a good market for experienced professionals and companies generally sponsor visa if the candidate has good experience.

Tips: Significant cultural shifts, methods of studying and assignments vary a lot from the Indian system. Internships and Job opportunities and even part-time work are challenging to obtain especially for non-European nationals. The course is redundant and repetitive.
Likes (Safety): The city and campus are safe both during the day and night, with no major incidents taking place. The general population is accepting with no serious discrimination taking place. Streets are safe to walk in at night, and the Garda (Police) are helpful and responsible.
Dislikes (Public transportation): Buses are not on time and frequency varies. The system is unnecessarily complicated. No metro lies and cab systems like Uber are expensive as well. Other methods include walking which you'll be doing a lot of, or purchasing a bicycle or electric scooter.

Average University - Don't expect much
Tips: The university is average, facilities are good. The course is generic, won't help with job preparation. Life is not that fast-paced here, job opportunities are fewer, housing crisis is true in Dublin and Cork. The job market is not fresher-friendly.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): It's easy to get PR here compared to the US / Canada. You just need to work for 2 years on a Critical skills permit job to get Stamp 4 (PR) here. Citizenship is the next step, it's achievable. But it is a choice of do you really want to settle here as the economy is not booming.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): The faculty is strictly average, not many experienced teachers. We had only one good professor who left in the middle of the year. The existing teachers don't teach properly, just read from ppt slides. Some of the curicullum that is taught is not useful for the job market like theory subjects.

Try to avail scholarships. People are nice.
Tips: Avail of scholarships before joining the university, try and email the university about available scholarships. Try and join different clubs and societies and get more exposure from different areas. The culture shock is there but people in Ireland are very accommodating.
Likes (Part time work): There are lots of part time opportunities in and around the university. The minimum wage is quite good so overall the experience of the internships is good. The average payout now is around 13 euros per hour and the part-time work available is manageable.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): The quality of faculty is great and we have very professional faculty who are world-renowned. The faculty are all very accessible and approachable and are available at desired times. The teaching methods are very good and classes are done in two ways where classes are engaging.

Tips: There are a lot of Indians here so you will not be missing home especially if you coming from India. In the recent times, as it is all over the world, Ireland has also had restricted job opportunities so please do your own research before coming to any university in Ireland.
Dislikes (Internships): For selected Masters Programs, UCC helps students in acquiring internships, but there was nothing like that in my course. We were given some really good interesting job-related projects which helped us with our interviews. Also for courses like Business Analytics and Data Analytics you get to interact with people from a wider spectrum.

Amazing experience of new life
Tips: In Ireland, there is 1 government scholarship covering all expenses from tuition fees to living, but that's given to only 60 students. Talking about my satisfaction, the country is very safe, and friendly. The rules here are very strict, but if you follow them everything goes very smoothly.
Likes (Part time work): There are many part-time jobs available around the city and university. You can work for 20 hours per week on regular days and 40 hours per week on your vacation. The average pay has increased to 12 euros per hour. It is manageable for a student to work and study at a time.
Dislikes (Internships): There was nothing such as an internal campus or internship. You had to find on your own. Be it an internship or a job, there is no guidance available from the university. You have to apply on your own for the position available. Sometimes you get an unpaid internship but you can do it along with the part-time.

Tips: Before joining the University of Limerick, students should know that it offers a great balance between academics and student life. The campus is beautiful, well-equipped, and has excellent sports and recreational facilities. However, finding accommodation can be challenging, so it's best to secure housing early. The transition to life here was smooth overall, but there was a noticeable cultural shift. The Irish are very friendly and welcoming, but the teaching style is more independent compared to what I was used to. Also, the weather can be quite unpredictable, so be prepared for rain. I didn't avail of any scholarships, but UL does offer various merit-based and need-based scholarships. It's best to check their official website or contact the admissions office for details. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my university, my course, and the country. The M.Sc. in Software Engineering is well-structured, with a mix of theoretical and practical learning. Ireland is a great place to study and has good career opportunities, especially in the tech industry.
Likes (Safety): The University of Limerick has an active and vibrant campus with plenty of opportunities beyond academics. The social scene, clubs, and events ensure there's always something happening, making student life enjoyable and engaging. A typical day in college involves attending lectures, working on assignments or projects in the library, and catching up with friends at the student centre. What I enjoy most is the balance between studies and extracurricular activities. There's always a space to unwind, whether it's sports, music, or club meetups. There are also fun activities like pub quizzes, live music nights, and society-hosted meetups. I try to participate in as many as possible, especially those related to tech and networking. Being involved in these groups is a great way to build skills, network, and make friends.
Dislikes (Public transportation): The professors in the M.Sc. in Software Engineering programme at the University of Limerick are highly knowledgeable and experienced. They bring both academic expertise and industry insights, making the learning experience practical and engaging. The faculty is quite accessible and approachable. They encourage students to ask questions, schedule office hours for one-on-one discussions, and actively respond to emails. Many also provide constructive feedback on assignments and projects, which helps in skill development. One unique aspect of the teaching methodology is the emphasis on independent learning and research. Many modules involve hands-on projects, case studies, and real-world applications rather than just theoretical concepts. The university is nice but experience may widely depend on the course you take.
Tips: The University of Limerick offers plenty of opportunities for students to grow and experience international life. However, most of the courses are only one year long, and the content is very condensed. This makes for a lot of stress, as students try to cover a huge amount of material in a short amount of time. Additionally, living on campus is expensive.
Likes (Safety): The University of Limerick has good safety measures on campus, and the public is generally safe. There is no violence or evident racism, but kids of a certain age outside the university can be troublesome. Otherwise, I felt safe almost everywhere I went.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The University of Limerick offers very nice job opportunities, but mostly for experienced people in certain domains. They accept only 30% of immigrants in corporations, and it is difficult to get my resume shortlisted. The long interview processes in general do not prefer students holding stamp 2 or stamp 1G visas.

Tips: 1. Campus Life: UL has a large, beautiful campus with modern facilities. There are plenty of places to study, hang out, and enjoy nature, like the River Shannon and Plassey Bridge.
2. Student Accommodation: There are on-campus and off-campus housing options. On-campus accommodation can fill up quickly, so apply early. Off-campus housing is also available but may need more research to find a good spot.
3. Clubs and Societies: UL has many clubs and societies for sports, hobbies, and interests. Joining them is a great way to make friends and learn new skills outside of classes.

This can be challenging, especially for international students who may not be as familiar with the local job market or hiring processes. In contrast, for Bachelors students at the University of Limerick, the internship process is more structured and supported by the university. Tips: Students should have some prior experience in their respective fields if they want to come to Ireland. The weather in Ireland is very unpredictable so better prepare yourself for the wind and cold weather. There are many people from India coming to Ireland so you will find some shops with Indian masala and food. The Irish culture is very warm and welcoming so you will like the people of this country. I did not get any scholarship and my classmates got a maximum of 1500 Euros as a scholarship on their total tuition fees. The University gives it to the student while applying and the criteria are the students should get at least 65% marks in their previous graduation. I'm very satisfied with the university, course and country as this country has all the necessary things that you need while staying here.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation is very frequent and the students here get an extra discount on these buses. You just have to get your leap card from the university. There are several buses between the university and the city centre. Majorly, bus numbers 304, 304a and 310 are buses which I usually take. For students, these buses are very cheap, hence affordable and convenient. Most of the students here purchase a bicycle from the store and use it to travel. The university also provides bicycles for certain prices. But these are very cheap as compared to other retail shops.
Dislikes (Part time work): We do get part-time opportunities on-campus in the form of Lab assistant or Teaching assistant. We also have the option to work in a campus store with different job roles. If I talk about off-campus, there are several part-time opportunities, like working in bars, stores, etc. You just have to make your part-time resume and deliver it to the store managers. We are only allowed to work for 20 hours per week, which helps us to not indulge in part-time jobs and concentrate on our studies. We get free time in the afternoon to do our studies. Average part-time jobs will get you a minimum of 12 Euros.

Tips: The university is good, studies are more application and research-oriented, and there are a lot of assignments and projects. Overall, the course is good, and people are friendly. The weather is bad, gloomy, cold and sometimes depressing. You can find crimes happening in Limerick City, but the campus is safe.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty members are specialized in their fields and have relevant experience. They are easy to approach, and the teaching methodology is mostly research and application-oriented. Exams are less important than projects. If your course is technical, then you will be studying with mostly 95% Indian or South Asian students.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are very limited vegetarian food options available if you are planning to eat outside. And eating outside is not affordable. There are a lot of options available in terms of restaurants for eating outside, mostly non-vegetarian food. A full meal can cost at least 10 Euros.

The faculty is warm, welcoming and helpful so reach out to them for any query. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my course and college.
Likes (Student Life): The campus culture is very rich and vibrant. There are so many options for students to explore the country and have a good time. Numerous events are being organized every week to keep the students engaged, and a general sense of friendliness around the city. The student clubs range from sports to art and also cover activities like hiking, kayaking and more. Great options for students to explore sports.
Dislikes (Internships): There are only a few opportunities on campus, and those are awarded to the top performers in the course. Also, there aren't many relevant internships posted on job websites. This is a very competitive field, and it takes a lot of time to settle in. Previous work experience would be a big help.

Tips: When I first came here, there was a bit of a transition period. Managing everything at the start was challenging, but over time, I got used to it. One cultural shift I experienced is how often people say 'Sorry' and 'Thank You' in everyday interactions, which is quite different from what I was used to back in India. Regarding scholarships, I received one that most students get after applying to the university. There wasn't much complexity in the process, it was a standard offering. I'm very satisfied with both my university and my course. The green campus is beautiful, and watching the Shannon River flow through the university is something I really enjoy. The course met my academic expectations, especially because I chose the statistical pathway to drive deeper into the mathematics behind machine learning models. My thesis collaboration with FSAI was particularly valuable, as it gave me industry-level experience.Â
Likes (Student Life): In college, I usually have 2-4 hours of classes each day. The rest of the time, I like to be in the edge computing room of the library because it has a dual monitor setup and a fast PC, which really helps me with my work. Many events are organized on campus, including celebrations for festivals like Diwali, Holi, Eid, and others. These events bring a lively atmosphere, and I enjoy participating whenever I can. As for student clubs, there are many to choose from, and I was part of the photography club, which allowed me to connect with many Irish people and build connections.Â
Dislikes (Internships): Although some guidance is available, the competition for these positions is extremely high, especially for non-EU students. The available internships tend to align well with my field of study, but companies often prioritize applicants with EU passports or Stamp 4 visas due to legal work eligibility requirements. As a result, securing an internship becomes more challenging for international students like myself despite having the necessary skills and qualifications.

Tips: This particular course won't make you market-ready, so be prepared for that. Also, be ready to search for a job and if you have taken a loan then it will take at least 3-6 months after your course ends. If you are not financially strong, find a part-time job as soon as you arrive in Ireland.
Likes (Student Life): The University of Limerick has one of the largest campuses in Ireland, and it's equipped with all the facilities students need. Students can participate in various sports and activities, and the campus is a great place to live. There are even pubs on campus, like Tables and Friday Nights, which definitely enhance the quality of student life.
Dislikes (Internships): The lack of internships available through the college is a downside for the Business Analytics course. Tips: I have learned a lot more in core papers than I ever did during my undergraduate. The cultural shift is being kind and diligent to everyone no matter what and open to helping anyone. I didn't avail of any scholarships. I am satisfied with my university except for no internship or coop arrangements for Masters students. The country is very beautiful with nice people.
Likes (Student Life): We have two classes per day, one might be a lab class. I enjoyed the beautiful campus and thorough practical learning process. There are a lot of events organised ranging from technical to festive. The first Seven Weeks will be filled with different events and trips across Ireland. Since then, every Friday is International night, where one can network a lot.
Dislikes (Internships): The university has a careers page where you can find job postings however there are approximately zero internships. The most important downside of this university is that there are no proper internships or coop arrangements for Master's students, assuming Bachelor students have a chance.

Tips: Students should try to find accommodation close to the university if searching for off-campus. and all the amenities are pretty close to the university. Likes (Quality of faculty): The quality and facilities of everything were good including the food and classrooms. There is also a grocery store named Spare on the campus, which is convenient for people living on campus. Also, the best thing about the university is its widespread and beautiful green campus.
Dislikes (Internships): There was no assistance or involvement from the college for summer internships, even though our course included an internship for the summer. I wish there was more focus in that area as it would have been beneficial, as finding a job is already really hard, especially if you are a fresher.

Tips: I see that the Irish people talk too fast as it takes quite a time to understand their language. Similarly, people from other native English-speaking countries talk in a certain manner so in this scenario try to make local English-speaking friends and try to talk to them as much as possible so that you will learn how to carry out a conversation. If you apply for UL it will automatically check and grant you a scholarship of 1500 Euros. I love Ireland, and I would love it more once I get a full-time job. The University is also amazing, it has a lot to do. However, I feel the course I completed didn't help me learn anything. I also feel somewhere that I won't get a job for the Data Scientist position perhaps I will get one for my previous experiences.
Likes (Student Life): UL is full of fun, more than studies you will get to see something exciting every day on the campus. It is full of events and celebrations. The Post-graduation Student Union (PSU) is my favourite part here. They keep on organizing different events every other day on campus. There is a humongous group of societies that UL offers. It has every type of society of all interests. If a student is more of an extra-curricular person I recommend them to be a part of UL.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): The faculty does not play a vital role in a student's journey here. The student has to decide their own future. No doubt the professor will always be at your back to answer any of your questions, but one should not expect spoon feeding from them. Most of the teaching methodologies here would be a combination of assignments, exams, projects, group projects, reports etc. The classes take place at the professor's convenience online or offline, some of the professors adopt a dynamic kind of teaching methodology where they only clear doubts of the students in the class and ask students to go through the notes at home. Most of the teachers here are Irish, and some of them belong to different countries such as Korea, Russia etc.

Tips: Be open to embracing changes. Be friendly as local people here are friendly and supportive. The professors are very experienced and will go an extra mile to support you. UL has the biggest library in Ireland and the best of labs to support you. The recreational activities are also great.
Likes (Public transportation): Buses and trains are the common modes of public transport and both are on time and very comfortable. The cost of travelling by public transport is minimal. Just make sure to get your leap card for discounted and hassle-free travel. Make sure to do at least one train journey. It’s worth it.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): If you search smartly then a lot of jobs are available. The university staff is very supportive. Most of the jobs are entry-level so you have to be patient to get the right job. The interview processes are straightforward and mostly online which makes it easier.

Tips: Scholarships will be awarded based on your education qualification and previous experience. It will be part of your application process, no extra steps to be followed. In terms of course I would say it was moderate, but if you want to enjoy student life then this is the right university for you to join.
Likes (Student Life): Lively campus with lots of activities and communities to be engaged in throughout your master's. A great opportunity to develop leadership skills if you are studying any of their business courses. There are varieties of clubs or communities comprising both academics and sports to choose from and lots of events are organized every week. Friday nights are the best that I have attended.
Dislikes (Internships): Searching for internships depends entirely on your ability. No extra guidance will be provided by the university on opportunities. In my experience to date, I haven't seen more opportunities for internships, however, you will have a lot of roles to avail of once you are graduated.

Tips: You should know that the course structure is not as easy as it looks like, they have a strict policy and education structure. Assignments will be tough but very informative, you have to study by yourself and cannot depend on ppts or lecture notes. Teachers are really helpful so they will help you out for sure.
Likes (Safety): Limerick or Ireland for that matter is very safe and secure for international students. You can be out late till 4 am and it’s not dangerous at all. People are really very sweet and are always greeting you and wishing for your well being, even random Irish people will ask you if you need any help and will definitely help you out. It’s safe for women, they can roam around any time of the day, anywhere.
Dislikes (Public transportation): Cabs are really expensive and buses only run till 10 pm. So if you’re out and need to come back late you have to take a cab. There are no tramps or any other source of transportation but just cabs, and they can be really expensive even for short distances.

Tips: My review only stands for postgraduate students. If you're an undergrad, do look for co-op placement courses that the University of Limerick offers. Additionally, I would suggest anyone coming over to Ireland to prepare their CVs and portfolios because the deadlines for graduate programmes and career fair is way too early for any student just beginning their academic journey here. Moreover, do secure a roof over your head early on- the accommodation crisis in Ireland is real.
Likes (Safety): Castletroy, where the university is located, is one of the safest places in Limerick. Overall, I would say Limerick as a whole is a lot safer than a lot of other places in Ireland. The kids over here could be a hassle, so just try to avoid any confrontation with them.
Dislikes (Internships): The master's programme runs for a duration of 1-year. Therefore you can't find any internships during this period. Additionally, there are no tie-ups with the companies present here where you could try to get internships later after your studies. While the undergrad courses in this university have some co-op placement courses that you may be interested in.

I am pleased with my time at the university as I got to learn about various things from various people from around the world.
Likes (Public transportation): There is excellent service for local and public bus transportation. There are trains as well for transportation and numerous buses connecting all major cities as well as small towns in between. Price is affordable for students with 'Student Leap Card' as it gives around 50% discount on all public transportation.
Dislikes (Internships): No such internship is available as the university doesn't have such tie-ups with companies for internship offers. Some universities in Dublin have internship tie-ups with various companies as a part of their course. Due to present market conditions, it is hard to find a job and also internship opportunities.
