Likes (Indian Food): Rating 5 on food options from my country of origin as it might reflect a deep appreciation for the variety, flavour and cultural significance of the cuisine here. The possible reasoning is that the diverse flavour, cultural connection, and availability of options all make the difference.

Dislikes (Value for money): The tuition fee is really high compared to the quality of education, the resources provided, and the outcomes achieved, including employability and career advancement. On the other hand, if the course lacks depth, practical application, or clear career benefits, it may not justify the high fees.

Likes (Quality of faculty): The lecturers and professors in the Computer Science department are highly knowledgeable, well-qualified, and passionate about their subjects. Sporty and open minded university.

Tips: Irish people are so welcoming you will feel so good after coming here, especially from India. We have the biggest campus in Ireland. There are lot many fun activities happening here as a part of the president's life events. It's a pretty good institution and the university is decent. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.

Likes (Safety): Safety is never an issue in Ireland unless you roam at midnight in the city centre. I live on-campus roebuck accommodation so for me I only travel to UCD campus which is very safe and pleasant. I didn't feel and racism here and everybody is so cool out there.

Dislikes (Internships): I came to Ireland looking for work in alcohol companies like Jameson, but I feel I made a mistake. There are very few opportunities for food business departments here. While the competition isn't tough, the demand for internships in food companies is very low.

The most diverse campus in Dublin.

Tips: The college has students from many countries so the programme is very diverse and the professors form groups/teams so that maximum diversity can be used by students in their group projects. Not many scholarships are available from the university but they should offer. The amenities the college provides are good. They also provide mentor support from alumni and the campus features for sports and academics are really good. They also offer career fairs which help develop a network in Ireland with companies and their employees.

Dislikes (Internships): During the semester, not many companies offer part-time jobs to students. In December and January, the holiday peak season starts, and no company offers internships or training because they say they won't be able to provide mentors. They have asked us to apply after winter break.

University College Dublin is good but the faculty is not very active to teach.

Tips: Students should be preparing well in advance for academics. Since teachers don't make an effort it's self-study from here onwards at least for Masters. The more you learn on your own the better you will be. I am actually satisfied with my university since it's one of the best grade colleges but there can be some changes done to the course structure.

Likes (Student Life): Student life is actually amazing. One can actually chill out in front of Belfield Lake or be totally involved in any sort of society according to their choice. I personally go to draws soc, Harry Potter soc and film soc. I personally enjoy the events and go for free food.

Dislikes (Quality of faculty): The teachers don't put much effort into teaching. They don't provide an interactive learning environment, and if you ask them a question out of the blue, they just go blank. Also, they don't offer extra classes before exams so you can practice or get help if you need it.

Tips: I chose Ireland because it is a great place to live and work, provides a lot of opportunities and careers and is a hub for IT companies. But before you go, do your research. Analyse the university rankings, the country rankings, and the climate. Also, look at the job market and how you will survive there.

Likes (Student Life): Student life at University College Dublin is vibrant and academically it has a quality. It always engages with events, societies, and clubs. I'd suggest people come here to study and have fun at the same time. UCD has a quality and it is on the Ivy League, so I suggest people come here.

Dislikes (Public transportation): The transportation is not connected to most parts of Dublin, people from north or central find it really hard to get to the south. The frequency is poor and unpredictable though we have student discounts I feel it is quite expensive. The safety of transport is also poor and the waiting hours are too long.

UCD - BlackRock campus has a friendly and competitive environment.

Tips: The University is an experience in and of itself. There was a big cultural shift after coming to Ireland, but it has been mostly positive till now. There are multiple scholarships to choose from, but make sure to apply for them as early as possible. Part-time jobs are very scarce, so apply for them at the beginning of January if you're planning on starting your studies in the September intake.

Likes (Public transportation): The University College Dublin Blackrock campus is well connected to the city by buses and trains. The campus is a short walk from the train station and major bus stop. However, if you need to go to the main campus, you will need to take a bus or cycle.

Dislikes (Part time work): There is not much availability of part-time on campus, and it is difficult to juggle a part-time job with classes. However, the minimum wage is 12.7 euros per hour, which will be increased in January 2025. Also, there are ways to earn more money, such as working night shifts or on holidays.

UCD is very reputed in Ireland, and I value the place it holds here.

Tips: Only if you are ready to face challenges please take up this option. The first semester would be tough since you are going through many changes. Lectures are pretty long, I advise everyone to participate in class discussions. You tend to learn a lot then. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the course and the country.

Likes (Permanent Immigration): Ireland is a country that is not as well-known as others, but it is becoming more popular. Ireland is part of the EU, which makes the immigration process easier. I haven't done a lot of research, but people say that it is relatively easy to immigrate to Ireland.

Dislikes (Part time work): I didn't find many on-campus part-time jobs, but there are more off-campus opportunities in Dublin. Balancing academics and part-time work can be tiring, so I suggest you take a less tiring job so you have enough energy to focus on your studies. The maximum hourly wage is 14 euros.

Tips: If you are considering enrolling in a public health program, I suggest you do your own research first. Make sure you understand the course content, the topics you are interested in, and the field you want to work in after graduation. Also, be aware that there are many different types of public health courses offered, so make sure you choose the one that best suits your interests.

Likes (Value for money): My course is a healthcare course which is expensive everywhere but the curriculum at UCD for MPH is very well structured and our professors are very knowledgeable. So it's not just the academic but also their experience in the field is really valuable.

Dislikes (Indian Food): I prefer cooking by myself as I didn't like the taste of the Indian restaurants here. Maybe in the future when I explore more into the city my preference will change. Some restaurants I have tried are Indian tiffins, Indian spices, Thindi, and Indian zaika.

Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experience here.

Likes (Part time work): I prefer part-time work because it offers flexible scheduling, which allows me to better balance my work and personal life. Also, the extra income helps support my primary income or expenses. Finally, part-time work provides opportunities to develop new skills or maintain existing ones.

A very well oriented institution.

Tips: The college itself is very quiet and education-oriented. They have a lot of extracurricular activities that help you boost your resume and also help you develop your personality, from both personal and professional perspectives. The professors are very skilled and the best in their own fields. They teach you the modules in such an interactive way that it doesn't feel like you're studying. The assignments are so immersive that you learn something new every time. The group assignments also teach you how to work well in a team. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the course.

Likes (Post study jobs): There are job opportunities after graduation, but there are Visa restrictions that need to be considered when applying for jobs. Many companies ask if you need visa sponsorship, which can be a hurdle in getting a job. However, it's important to maintain a positive mindset and not be discouraged by rejections.

Dislikes (Indian Food): I don't eat out at Indian restaurants very often because there are only a few Indian restaurants in the area where I live, and they are quite far away. Also, the food is expensive, and the taste just isn't the same. Cooking at home is just fine.

Very stressful environment and it is hard to manage between college and part-time.

Tips: The workload is too much, and with the part-time job, it's a total mess. On top of that, we're not even getting paid on time, and people are taking advantage of the students by making them work more. I'm not sure what to do at this point. No company has offered me anything, and I'm not sure if anyone will. I'm confused about what to do.

Dislikes (Part time work): I am working at KFC and the job is very tough. I don't have enough time to sleep or even take a break. The job is very boring, and the manager doesn't care about any of us. It's really bad, and I have no idea how people are surviving this. It's very hard to manage on 800 euros.

The university is nice but experience may widely depend on the course you take.

Tips: The University of Limerick offers plenty of opportunities for students to grow and experience international life. However, most of the courses are only one year long, and the content is very condensed. This makes for a lot of stress, as students try to cover a huge amount of material in a short amount of time. Additionally, living on campus is expensive.

Likes (Safety): The University of Limerick has good safety measures on campus, and the public is generally safe. There is no violence or evident racism, but kids of a certain age outside the university can be troublesome. Otherwise, I felt safe almost everywhere I went.

Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The University of Limerick offers very nice job opportunities, but mostly for experienced people in certain domains. They accept only 30% of immigrants in corporations, and it is difficult to get my resume shortlisted. The long interview processes in general do not prefer students holding stamp 2 or stamp 1G visas.

Don't hesitate to ask for help if you need it. 6. Transport: There are buses to and from Limerick city, but many students prefer to walk or cycle around the campus. The only reason I didn't give a perfect score is that while there is a lot to do, some services or activities can get crowded or competitive due to high demand. Nonetheless, overall student life at UL is lively and offers a great balance of academic and social experiences.

Dislikes (Internships): I rated 3 for internships because, for masters students, the process of finding and applying for internships is primarily self-driven. You are responsible for searching for relevant opportunities, submitting applications, and going through the interview processes independent. While the university does provide some guidance, such as career fair, workshops, and resume-building sessions, the bulk of the effort fall on the student. This can be challenging, especially for international students who may not be as familiar with the local job market or hiring processes. In contrast, for Bachelors students at the University of Limerick, the internship process is more structured and supported by the university. The university Cooperative Education programme helps match students with potential employers, simplifying the process significantly. For Bachelors students, the university takes an active role in facilitating internship placements, providing a more seamless and guided experience. Tips: Students should have some prior experience in their respective fields if they want to come to Ireland. The weather in Ireland is very unpredictable so better prepare yourself for the wind and cold weather. There are many people from India coming to Ireland so you will find some shops with Indian masala and food. The Irish culture is very warm and welcoming so you will like the people of this country. I did not get any scholarship and my classmates got a maximum of 1500 Euros as a scholarship on their total tuition fees. The University gives it to the student while applying and the criteria are the students should get at least 65% marks in their previous graduation. I'm very satisfied with the university, course and country as this country has all the necessary things that you need while staying here.

Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation is very frequent and the students here get an extra discount on these buses. You just have to get your leap card from the university. There are several buses between the university and the city centre. Majorly, bus numbers 304, 304a and 310 are buses which I usually take. For students, these buses are very cheap, hence affordable and convenient. Most of the students here purchase a bicycle from the store and use it to travel. The university also provides bicycles for certain prices. But these are very cheap as compared to other retail shops.

Dislikes (Part time work): We do get part-time opportunities on-campus in the form of Lab assistant or Teaching assistant. We also have the option to work in a campus store with different job roles. If I talk about off-campus, there are several part-time opportunities, like working in bars, stores, etc. You just have to make your part-time resume and deliver it to the store managers. We are only allowed to work for 20 hours per week, which helps us to not indulge in part-time jobs and concentrate on our studies. We get free time in the afternoon to do our studies. Average part-time jobs will get you a minimum of 12 Euros.

Tips: The university is good, studies are more application and research-oriented, and there are a lot of assignments and projects. Overall, the course is good, and people are friendly. The weather is bad, gloomy, cold and sometimes depressing. You can find crimes happening in Limerick City, but the campus is safe.

Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty members are specialized in their fields and have relevant experience. They are easy to approach, and the teaching methodology is mostly research and application-oriented. Exams are less important than projects. If your course is technical, then you will be studying with mostly 95% Indian or South Asian students.

Dislikes (Indian Food): There are very limited vegetarian food options available if you are planning to eat outside. And eating outside is not affordable. There are a lot of options available in terms of restaurants for eating outside, mostly non-vegetarian food. A full meal can cost at least 10 Euros.

Tips: Before joining this college students should know that the evaluation patterns are very different from India, and it is easy to follow through for students if they're genuinely interested in the course. The faculty is warm, welcoming and helpful so reach out to them for any query. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my course and college.

Likes (Student Life): The campus culture is very rich and vibrant. There are so many options for students to explore the country and have a good time. Numerous events are being organized every week to keep the students engaged, and a general sense of friendliness around the city. The student clubs range from sports to art and also cover activities like hiking, kayaking and more. Great options for students to explore sports.

Dislikes (Internships): There are only a few opportunities on campus, and those are awarded to the top performers in the course. Also, there aren't many relevant internships posted on job websites. This is a very competitive field, and it takes a lot of time to settle in. Previous work experience would be a big help.

My academic experience of thriving in a dynamic campus environment.

Tips: When I first came here, there was a bit of a transition period. Managing everything at the start was challenging, but over time, I got used to it. One cultural shift I experienced is how often people say 'Sorry' and 'Thank You' in everyday interactions, which is quite different from what I was used to back in India. Regarding scholarships, I received one that most students get after applying to the university. There wasn't much complexity in the process, it was a standard offering. I'm very satisfied with both my university and my course. The green campus is beautiful, and watching the Shannon River flow through the university is something I really enjoy. The course met my academic expectations, especially because I chose the statistical pathway to drive deeper into the mathematics behind machine learning models. My thesis collaboration with FSAI was particularly valuable, as it gave me industry-level experience.

Likes (Student Life): In college, I usually have 2-4 hours of classes each day. The rest of the time, I like to be in the edge computing room of the library because it has a dual monitor setup and a fast PC, which really helps me with my work. Many events are organized on campus, including celebrations for festivals like Diwali, Holi, Eid, and others. These events bring a lively atmosphere, and I enjoy participating whenever I can. As for student clubs, there are many to choose from, and I was part of the photography club, which allowed me to connect with many Irish people and build connections.

Dislikes (Internships): Although some guidance is available, the competition for these positions is extremely high, especially for non-EU students. The available internships tend to align well with my field of study, but companies often prioritize applicants with EU passports or Stamp 4 visas due to legal work eligibility requirements. As a result, securing an internship becomes more challenging for international students like myself despite having the necessary skills and qualifications.

Tips: This particular course won't make you market-ready, so be prepared for that. Also, be ready to search for a job and if you have taken a loan then it will take at least 3-6 months after your course ends. If you are not financially strong, find a part-time job as soon as you arrive in Ireland.

Likes (Student Life): The University of Limerick has one of the largest campuses in Ireland, and it's equipped with all the facilities students need. Students can participate in various sports and activities, and the campus is a great place to live. There are even pubs on campus, like Tables and Friday Nights, which definitely enhance the quality of student life.

Dislikes (Internships): The lack of internships available through the college is a downside for the Business Analytics course. The course will make you aware of the tools and technology used in the industry, but you should be prepared with the basics of the software you will be learning. Tips: I have learned a lot more in core papers than I ever did during my undergraduate. The cultural shift is being kind and diligent to everyone no matter what and open to helping anyone. I didn't avail of any scholarships. I am satisfied with my university except for no internship or coop arrangements for Masters students. The country is very beautiful with nice people.

Likes (Student Life): We have two classes per day, one might be a lab class. I enjoyed the beautiful campus and thorough practical learning process. There are a lot of events organised ranging from technical to festive. The first Seven Weeks will be filled with different events and trips across Ireland. Since then, every Friday is International night, where one can network a lot.

Dislikes (Internships): The university has a careers page where you can find job postings however there are approximately zero internships. The most important downside of this university is that there are no proper internships or coop arrangements for Master's students, assuming Bachelor students have a chance.

Tips: Students should try to find accommodation close to the university if searching for off-campus. and all the amenities are pretty close to the university. I also received a scholarship of 1500 Euros. I am really satisfied with the university; however, the course could use some room for more improvement.

Likes (Quality of faculty): The quality and facilities of everything were good including the food and classrooms. There is also a grocery store named Spare on the campus, which is convenient for people living on campus. Also, the best thing about the university is its widespread and beautiful green campus.

Dislikes (Internships): There was no assistance or involvement from the college for summer internships, even though our course included an internship for the summer. I wish there was more focus in that area as it would have been beneficial, as finding a job is already really hard, especially if you are a fresher.

Tips: I see that the Irish people talk too fast as it takes quite a time to understand their language. Similarly, people from other native English-speaking countries talk in a certain manner so in this scenario try to make local English-speaking friends and try to talk to them as much as possible so that you will learn how to carry out a conversation. If you apply for UL it will automatically check and grant you a scholarship of 1500 Euros. I love Ireland, and I would love it more once I get a full-time job. The University is also amazing, it has a lot to do. However, I feel the course I completed didn't help me learn anything. I also feel somewhere that I won't get a job for the Data Scientist position perhaps I will get one for my previous experiences.

Likes (Student Life): UL is full of fun, more than studies you will get to see something exciting every day on the campus. It is full of events and celebrations. The Post-graduation Student Union (PSU) is my favourite part here. They keep on organizing different events every other day on campus. There is a humongous group of societies that UL offers. It has every type of society of all interests. If a student is more of an extra-curricular person I recommend them to be a part of UL.

Dislikes (Quality of faculty): The faculty does not play a vital role in a student's journey here. The student has to decide their own future. No doubt the professor will always be at your back to answer any of your questions, but one should not expect spoon feeding from them. Most of the teaching methodologies here would be a combination of assignments, exams, projects, group projects, reports etc. The classes take place at the professor's convenience online or offline, some of the professors adopt a dynamic kind of teaching methodology where they only clear doubts of the students in the class and ask students to go through the notes at home. Most of the teachers here are Irish, and some of them belong to different countries such as Korea, Russia etc.

Tips: Be open to embracing changes. Be friendly as local people here are friendly and supportive. The professors are very experienced and will go an extra mile to support you. UL has the biggest library in Ireland and the best of labs to support you. The recreational activities are also great.

Likes (Public transportation): Buses and trains are the common modes of public transport and both are on time and very comfortable. The cost of travelling by public transport is minimal. Just make sure to get your leap card for discounted and hassle-free travel. Make sure to do at least one train journey. It’s worth it.

Dislikes (Post study jobs): If you search smartly then a lot of jobs are available. The university staff is very supportive. Most of the jobs are entry-level so you have to be patient to get the right job. The interview processes are straightforward and mostly online which makes it easier.

Tips: Scholarships will be awarded based on your education qualification and previous experience. It will be part of your application process, no extra steps to be followed. In terms of course I would say it was moderate, but if you want to enjoy student life then this is the right university for you to join.

Likes (Student Life): Lively campus with lots of activities and communities to be engaged in throughout your master's. A great opportunity to develop leadership skills if you are studying any of their business courses. There are varieties of clubs or communities comprising both academics and sports to choose from and lots of events are organized every week. Friday nights are the best that I have attended.

Dislikes (Internships): Searching for internships depends entirely on your ability. No extra guidance will be provided by the university on opportunities. Tips: You should know that the course structure is not as easy as it looks like, they have a strict policy and education structure. Likes (Safety): Limerick or Ireland for that matter is very safe and secure for international students. You can be out late till 4 am and it’s not dangerous at all. People are really very sweet and are always greeting you and wishing for your well being, even random Irish people will ask you if you need any help and will definitely help you out. It’s safe for women, they can roam around any time of the day, anywhere.

Dislikes (Public transportation): Cabs are really expensive and buses only run till 10 pm. So if you’re out and need to come back late you have to take a cab. There are no tramps or any other source of transportation but just cabs, and they can be really expensive even for short distances.

Tips: My review only stands for postgraduate students. If you're an undergrad, do look for co-op placement courses that the University of Limerick offers. Additionally, I would suggest anyone coming over to Ireland to prepare their CVs and portfolios because the deadlines for graduate programmes and career fair is way too early for any student just beginning their academic journey here. Moreover, do secure a roof over your head early on- the accommodation crisis in Ireland is real.

Likes (Safety): Castletroy, where the university is located, is one of the safest places in Limerick. Overall, I would say Limerick as a whole is a lot safer than a lot of other places in Ireland. The kids over here could be a hassle, so just try to avoid any confrontation with them.

Dislikes (Internships): The master's programme runs for a duration of 1-year. Therefore you can't find any internships during this period. Additionally, there are no tie-ups with the companies present here where you could try to get internships later after your studies. While the undergrad courses in this university have some co-op placement courses that you may be interested in.

Tips: Students should know that there is a cultural shift and that's when one grows as an individual as you come out of your comfort zone and your nation, you learn to be independent and you learn all the basic necessary life skills like cooking, cleaning etc. There is a scholarship, it depends on your profile and undergrad score. I am pleased with my time at the university as I got to learn about various things from various people from around the world.

Likes (Public transportation): There is excellent service for local and public bus transportation. There are trains as well for transportation and numerous buses connecting all major cities as well as small towns in between. Price is affordable for students with 'Student Leap Card' as it gives around 50% discount on all public transportation.

Dislikes (Internships): No such internship is available as the university doesn't have such tie-ups with companies for internship offers. Some universities in Dublin have internship tie-ups with various companies as a part of their course. Due to present market conditions, it is hard to find a job and also internship opportunities.
