My journey with ups and downs that I am proud of.
Tips: 1- Before coming here it is advisable to know the culture of the country. 2- Do your research on job market within your domain. 3- Become extrovert, make friends and build your community. 3- Get connected with the alumni. 4- Try to understand the university teaching method. 5- Come equipped with technical skills.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Current market conditions are not strong where my personal experience lies. Companies are bit hesitant towards sponsoring visa to international students to save cost and due to continuous changes in immigration laws. My plan is to work here in the UK for the next 3-4 years and understand the working culture and implement it in India.

People Make Glasgow. The university is the heart of the city.
Tips: Being an international student I expected to take time and settle in Scotland. To my surprise, everything looked easier as soon as I landed there. People were friendly, college services made my living expenses and budgeting cut down and professors were approachable.
Likes (Public transportation): The university is the heart of the city. As the banners in Glasgow quote - "People make Glasgow", it means the same too. There are a lot of buses connecting students to the university. Students have heavy discounts throughout their valid student cards.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): As we all know, the visa rules changed in the UK over the span of 3 years due to political change in the economy which is why permanent settlement and acquiring a VISA has become a little difficult for students. I would definitely love to stay in the country.

My University experience was lively and super fun
Tips: I am quite satisfied with my university and my course. I did not receive any scholarships. I would have liked the course to be a bit longer because one year for a Master's feels a bit short. By the time you get used to your life in Glasgow, the year ends. I had received the university experience that I wanted to.
Likes (Student Life): I had 3-4 classes per week, each of 2 hours. There were multiple social events from my department and the university as a whole throughout the year. There were many different societies and clubs which organized events throughout the year and I attended most of them and they were great for socialising.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are on campus and off campus jobs available but it is also quite competitive to get and is not very easy to get hired. Part-time work *for me* was manageable as my contact was flexible. And I got paid minimum wage for part time which changed every April and was decent enough for me, personally to sustain (this might vary according to everyone's financial situation).

Good place to do Master's
Tips: Students coming from India will have a major cultural shift in respect to both academic and personal life. I didn't get any scholarships. I love this University because of its good teaching system, 24/7 library access, liberal, fantastic faculties.

100% would recommend studying here!
Tips: With the number of international students here, it's a very easy transition just the weather is a little cold so be prepared for that. Other than that, feel right at home! Scholarships are available if you apply for them early on in the process. Overall, quite happy with my choice of course and University of Glasgow is a beautiful place to live, would definitely consider studying here.
Likes (Public transportation): Easy bus and subway access - bus around is 5 pounds return and subways 3 pounds per day. Bus passes and subway passes are available (free bus for students under 21). Bus pass would make the bus around 2 pounds a day and subways around 1.5 (depending on the duration of the pass you would take). Personally prefer the subways, but the connectivity of it is not very good.
Dislikes (Internships): Not too many opportunities, but have to be actively looking for them. Computer Science jobs are quite easy to get at the graduate level. Internships itself though are not as easy, but possible regardless. Placements as available in India are not a thing here so be vary of that.

Beautiful Architecture, Knowledgeable tutors and culture to be adapted
Tips: I faced a cultural shift starting from the accent even if my IELTS score was quite well, it was so difficult for others to understand my accent and so was it for me but gradually I learned and adapted. The scottish culture is good. I like everything about it from people to their bagpipes I love it here! There is an international student scholarship given to students but it isn't much. Teachers are good and they teach in a research oriented way. Placements is okay-okay but when post study visa is there it does help to secure a job. The infrastructure is very good as I said I like being here this is one reason architecture is very old and sometimes this place or Edinburgh seems like you are straight out of Harry Potter book!

University of Glasgow- A Place Beyond Excellence
Tips: Students should be prepared to actively participate in extra curricular activities and events, and not restrict themselves to people from their country. Moreover, given that the University of Glasgow is more academically oriented, they should be prepared to spend a lot of time reading and studying.
Likes (Internships): The university has a job board through which students can apply for part-time jobs and internships. Although they should also check LinkedIn regularly for any new openings. Often, professors and university staff post vacancies on LinkedIn as well as emails, so keep a tab on your emails as well.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Although the UK has started providing a two-year post work visa, commonly known as PSW, students need to be proactive and network aggressively finding jobs related to their field of study. The university will not help with placements, though it has several career-related resources that can assist students in landing jobs.

The University cares a lot about the health and happiness of its students
Tips: The University of Glasgow is one of the most reputed university in the world. Excellent student satisfaction and very well-ranked in the subject field. Happy with content taught and post-study work visa opportunities. Over the past 2 years, I have really enjoyed my experience at the university. The university allows students to strike a balance between their academics and their interests. I've had the opportunity to meet students from all over the world and pursue a course that is very dynamic and interesting. I faced a cultural shift starting in Scottish culture, The Scottish culture is very good.

Great University, Mediaeval Castle like hostel , Large campus, Placement offers, Good Teachers
Tips: Students coming here should speak with a Scottish accent, don't overspend money and be top in academics. Jobs are scarce unless you are brilliant. Castles are overrated. Teachers are helpful, tourism is beautiful. Scottish people are great. There is pathetic management in dorms and facilities are good.

The best university to study with great professors.
Tips: The professors were friendly and helpful, and the assignments were practical in nature, which contributed to my overall development. If you plan to attend this university, be sure to take the following tips with you: learn to cook, be self-motivated, have a positive attitude towards learning, and make good use of the resources available to you. Overall, I am completely satisfied with my experience at the university.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): I never had any plans to settle down permanently, but I found the University of Warwick to be a safe place to live. The university campus life is great, with all the facilities you need at your fingertips. There are many community safety teams that make student life easy. Overall, it's a great place to study.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The recession made jobs hard to come by. The recruitment cycle is too long, and the PSW makes it difficult to apply for and get a job. Also, experience level is a key criterion for getting a good job, and pay is only average. Even with all of these factors, it is still difficult to find a job.

Navigating the cultural shift and opportunities at the University of Warwick.
Tips: Students at Warwick should know how to face challenges adapting to a more independent lifestyle. Managing household tasks and adjusting to academic life can be stressful. Warwick's welcoming environment and diversified population can assist students in adjusting to a new lifestyle. One of Warwick's scholarships is the Global Excellence Scholarship, which provides fee reductions depending on merit and need. The scholarship application process usually requires academic achievements and university qualifying requirements. Although scholarships are beneficial, competition is high, so students should apply early. I am quite satisfied with Warwick University, course and country.

Great university and considerate about the student welfare.
Tips: Students should take some time to explore campus before their classes start as it is very widespread and you will be expected to walk around a lot so plan your schedule and housing according. Moreover, finding suitable accommodation on campus does not come easy. The faculty is very understanding and helpful. Finally, take advantage of the available student services.

Supportive environment with a lot to offer.
Tips: Students should know that studying here will bring out the most of their potential, to the point that it will feel rather competitive at times because of the academic pressure. On the other hand, you will be exposed to a wide array of opinions that will help develop your learning and mindset. Besides, the public transportation is very accessible for you to explore. Warwick- Expensive but Invaluable Experience
Tips: Students should know that there are a lot of cultural shifts and largely the way lifestyle and habits change after the move. Coming from a comfortable family back in India where I was used to home-cooked meals and chores being taken care of by a helper every day and having to do everything by myself was a huge shift. Additionally, being away from home is not the easiest thing, and you feel vulnerable at the start, but then with time, things get a lot better. I did not avail of any scholarships; my family financed my education. However, a lot of international students that I know here are on student loans, so that is an option to consider if one needs financial aid. Also, there are few scholarships and financial aid from the university and government, but one needs to plan for months since the deadline is pretty early. Warwick is one of the elitist universities around here, and being a part of Russell Group, it is quite expensive as well. However, its reputation, overall standing, and the environment make up for a lot of it.
Likes (Student Life): Warwick campus in particular has to be one of the prettiest premises I have come across along the long list of activities for students. The university organizes various events across the year, ranging from leisure, networking, outings, entertainment, health and lifestyle, etc. Typically, a Warwick student has a lot of academic baggage given the university's commitment to top-class studies, but then the student unit organizes several events throughout the term time and off-term time to keep them relaxed. And yes, there is every possible committee or student society that you can think of or be interested in, right from religion to sports, helping you connect to like-minded individuals.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Permanent settlement in the UK at the moment is very difficult given the increasing visa and IHS cost. Also, the nation wants to limit immigration and is considering several anti-immigration favouring stances regarding the same. While there is PSW for international students after completing their studies, the fees for it have been on a consistent rise. Moreover, the PR status in the UK is a long road and with not a lot of companies in favour of sponsoring visas, it is looking worse day by day. While a lot of people would love to immigrate to the UK permanently without a link, the answers to this are pretty subjective. As much as I appreciate the clean roads, clean air, discipline, and diversity in the workspace, I am a very emotional being and miss the Indian food so I would choose to be back home in the long run.

Versatile, reputed and competitive place.
Tips: It's important to choose only the course you know you're interested in as there's not much scope to change afterwards. Give ourselves time to adjust, make new friends, and get into a routine. Join different societies and clubs, while making sure you're on track with academics and give yourself time to relax.
Likes (Internships): Warwick is extremely well renowned in the UK, especially Warwick Business School. The careers team, which is solely for WBS students, provide extensive CV reviews, Cover letter drafts, practice interviews and other resources to improve our chances of getting internships.
Dislikes (Student Life): While there are a lot of sources to relax, explore and enjoy during term time for students, to score well in the course I'm pursuing, it's important to dedicate a good amount of time to studying, while applying for internships, which tends to get pretty stressful.

University helps with career opportunities.
Tips: Msc International trade, strategy and operations is one of the most popular courses offered by WBS and has constantly stayed top of the UK university league tables. One thing I love about the course and the school is the tremendous support given, be it in academics or careers. Many lecturers and tutors are happy to answer your questions in emails or in person during their office hours. You could also post questions online in the forum and they will try their very best to solve your queries in due course. The Careers Team runs CV, interview and assessment workshops from time to time to help students through each and every step of their applications for different top-notch firms in the industry. The staff are always there for you whenever you need them.

The University provides its students with numerous opportunities.
Tips: Warwick is an amazing University. The campus is lovely. It has great facilities like Gym , cafeteria , library. My department provided me with lots of support from professors as well as my fellow classmates. I would recommend everyone to be a part of this university
Likes (Part time work): The University provides its students with numerous opportunities. Sustaining in countries like these it requires students to do part time work. The University ensures that its students can manage both of them. That's why I rated high on part time work.
Dislikes (Safety): The University must improve its well being services and revise its policy regarding security on the campus and must establish a zero tolerance policy regarding sexual harrasment and assault. Being a woman I feel that I deserve the right to feel safe on campus
