Supportive environment with advanced curriculum.
Tips: Students should expect high academic standards, a vibrant campus life with numerous clubs and societies, and a high cost of living in Sydney. Embrace the multicultural environment and adapt to the relaxed Australian lifestyle, which emphasizes work-life balance and outdoor activities. UNSW offers various scholarships based on merit and need. The application process typically includes submitting academic transcripts and a personal statement. Many students are satisfied with UNSW’s supportive environment, comprehensive curriculum, and Australia’s high quality of life and welcoming atmosphere.

Great college to pursue a Master's degree, but no internship opportunities.
Tips: University of New South Wales is great for studies. There are no placement/ Internship programs provided by the university, especially for post-graduation research. It is expensive to live in Sydney. The professors are knowledgeable and skilled in their fields. The campus is wonderful with lots of activities and clubs to participate in.

Great university with good part-time opportunities.
Tips: Students should try and structure their courses early on. The trimester pattern at UNSW is a bit fast-paced, meaning assignments start from the first two weeks itself and the courses themselves are moderate to difficult. It is overall challenging but also manageable if you come prepared. I got a 15% scholarship, and it is granted to international students. (International Student Award). UNSW is a great option for CSE and Engineering courses. Tech-based courses are pretty advanced as well. It is very good for aspiring developers.
Likes (Part time work): The average pay is 24-30 AUD per hour, it is not too difficult to find a part-time job and the job itself are good. It takes time to learn how to manage jobs and studies, but with practice should be good. Casual work is great as well as more flexibility on the shifts you take and can accommodate studies easier.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Indian food is available, but in fewer options in the main city area for vegetarian Indian food. If you go to Harris Park (little India) you will find very good Indian food. I prefer cooking my meals, but sometimes with hectic schedules, it is tough to manage that throughout the day. I recommend meal prepping 2-3 days of the week for convenience.

UNSW Kensington Campus has great academic with good faculty.
Tips: The trimester pattern at UNSW is a bit tough. Some courses that sound easy end up being the hardest to pass. Ask for feedback before joining courses and enrolling. Also, make sure you have enough time to finish all tasks on time. Time management can be stressful.
Likes (Value for money): The University of New South Wales is a great place to study. There are lots of events on campus, and it's always lively with different cultural events. There are over 300+ clubs you can join, and you can start your own club if you have a hobby or interest that isn't already represented. There are also lots of communities you can join if you want to mingle with people from various countries and learn about other cultures.
Dislikes (Internships): The faculty here are very knowledgeable and have a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. They are always willing to help students understand the material and are available to answer any questions that come up. They provide good support throughout the course for any help that students might need.

BS in Statistics & Data Science - Batch of 2025
Offered by University of Arizona
4.4
It is a new environment, be more participative and open to new things.
Tips: Before joining the UofA, I would recommend students to understand basic things about university like programs offered, campus culture, location, rankings etc. The university does offer scholarship based on our academic scores in high school; I did receive a scholarship. It's definitely a different experience since it is a new environment in which we are learning, but it has been great so far. I did experience some cultural differences initially, but now I have settled up well. It does take some time but always be more participative and open to new things.
Likes (Indian Food): There are enough Indian restaurants around campus and in Tucson. I know two restaurants, one of them is on campus and the other is very close to the campus. The prices are quite decent, ranging from 4$-20$ approximately. There are also other cuisines available like Vietnamese cuisine, Italian cuisine etc. I personally prefer cooking myself because being an international student, cooking saves a lot of money which could be used to pay the rent or tuition fee. I make meal plans or store food to save time during the workdays.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Sponsorship is a requirement for full-time jobs but not for internships. I think due to the ongoing recession and layoff period for this year, the post study jobs opportunities are very limited and has been difficult to find, especially for international students. Many companies are not offering sponsorship, but it is expected to ease up soon depending on the job market situation. However, the university offers certain research positions too which could be considered as an alternative option.
