You can apply for a student visa to study in the UK after attaining 16 years of age. However, there is an absolute requirement of certain documents that one must submit in order to get their application for a Tier-4 (General) student visa approved in the UK.
Document Required for UK Student Visa

Candidates wanting to study in the UK would be required to apply for a UK Student Visa to enter the country to pursue their education. Students are advised to apply for their UK Student Visa once they have received their university admission letter otherwise referred to as Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS). Candidates must apply for their student visa no more than six months after they receive their CAS. Applicants would get a decision on their UK Student visa within three weeks of their application.

As per the latest update, international students pursuing a non-research Master’s degree course in the country will no longer be permitted to bring along their families or dependents to the country.  Know more about the changes, here.
