- Ideal basis is a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or in Physics, students can also apply with a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering or Industrial Engineering or similar, if your Bachelor covered in addition to the above mentioned subjects the following topics sufficiently: chemistry or materials science, semiconductor materials, fundamentals of electrical engineering (DC and AC technology) and basic electronics (especially operation and theory of the diode, but also some knowledge about transistors, thyristors and other power electronics devices).
