- The degree program has a high proportion of scientific laboratory internships: in the basic phase in the form of teaching internships, in the research phase in the form of individual research internships. In each case, the practical skills acquired in the bachelor's degree program are built up
- By attending selected courses of the Pharmacy state examination study program, students learn the biochemical and molecular-biological basics of the mode of action of drug substances and of drug metabolism, the connection between the chemistry of the drugs and the pharmacological properties, the differences of low molecular weight and recombinantly produced drugs, different dosage forms and routes of administration as well as issues of pharmacokinetics and bioavailability of drugs.

- Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Life Sciences, (Bio)-Medical Chemistry, Biophysics, Bioinformatics or at least a comparable degree from a German university or a German university of applied sciences in the same or a related field of study with a standard period of study of at least six semesters or an at least equivalent foreign degree in the same or related field with a standard duration of at least six semesters
- Applicants with a foreign university entrance qualification and a foreign undergraduate degree must also demonstrate sufficient knowledge of German according to the DSH regulations.
- Applicants who do not have a bachelor's degree at the time of application can apply for provisional admission to the master's program AMF (4 Sem für BSc) if at least 80% of the CP required for the bachelor's degree (usually 144 CP) have been successfully completed.
