An average university with basic infrastructure.
Tips: I moved to Berlin from India, and the transition was seamless. I adapted readily, but I did not secure any campus scholarships, primarily due to insufficient preliminary research. While I am satisfied with the basic infrastructure, I am dissatisfied with the support system. Communication is limited to email, which precludes in-person meetings. Throughout my time here, I have consistently felt safe and secure, thanks to the comprehensive and well-executed security protocols in place. The presence of security personnel is both reassuring and effective. The guards are always visible, approachable, and professional, which significantly contributes to a secure environment. Their regular patrols and quick response times to any incidents ensure that any potential threats are swiftly addressed. The campus is equipped with a robust surveillance system. The strategically placed cameras cover all critical areas, including entrances, exits, and common spaces. This not only acts as a deterrent to any malicious activities but also provides a reliable means of monitoring and reviewing any incidents that may occur.
Dislikes (Internships): Until now, I have not received any internship offers from the college, which has been a significant disappointment. The lack of support and guidance regarding job and internship opportunities is evident. Despite numerous inquiries, the response from the college staff has been consistently unhelpful and vague. It seems there is no structured system to assist students in securing internships or jobs, which is a critical aspect of our education and future careers. The career services department appears to be effective and disorganized. No workshops, seminars, or information sessions to help students prepare for the job market. The absence of networking events or connections with industry professionals further exacerbates the issue. When we sought advice or information, the staff either did not have the answers or provided outdated and irrelevant information.

Everything is perfect. The university is located at a prime location.
Tips: Before joining this college, students must learn German, which is essential for networking. The professors are very friendly and are always willing to help. They are very good at solving problems on campus and online. I was in an accident on campus and they were very helpful in getting me the help I needed.
Likes (Part time work): Everything at IU International University of Applied Sciences is excellent, and I've seen excellent service. The only drawback for international students is that they must learn German because some people face problems after graduation.

M.A. Master Management in Engineering Management - Batch of 2025
4.8
IU Berlin is the best low cost college in Berlin.
Tips: Students should know that it is a private college self-study where people can do their best even without the support of the college. There are lots of Indians in this college, and it doesn't feel like this is a foreign university, and the fees are also low compared to other universities like SRH and UE Berlin.
Likes (Student Life): Student life is amazing, but if you don't find a job, surviving in the city will be a major headache as the cost of living is very high. It is to be noted that there is no major support from the college side regarding academics as everything is focused on a self-study basis.
Dislikes (Internships): Good exposure and lots of opportunities for people who are really interested in teaching. Also, the summers are amazing to find an internship since many jobs are vacant as people go on vacation. I would suggest applying outside Berlin, where many opportunities are available.

A good college and city with great ambience and facilities.
Tips: Students should know that the culture is much different and it is very organized. It is time-consuming sometimes but overall I am satisfied with the course and university as everything is smooth. Also, there are ample opportunities to grow in the field as well as off the field, however, I didn't get any scholarships.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Excellent faculty and they are available promptly for any doubts. Almost all the faculty members are available at any time for an in-person appointment and also they reply to emails instantly. Also, the sprint sessions conducted to solve questions are the best. The teachers are from all over the world giving us a diverse culture of knowledge.
Dislikes (Part time work): Part-time is available you need to be ready to work and have a little knowledge of the German language. There are many opportunities on campus, and we have to apply for them. Generally, 20 hours is managed in 2 or 3 days and the remaining days we have to attend college Usually above 11 Euros is paid for part-time work.

Friendly University with peaceful environment
Tips: Before coming to Germany learning the German language is mandatory. Most people can communicate in English but try learning the basics before coming, as it will help you get a part-time job easily. Every student should come with enough funds so that they can study without stress even if they fail to get a part-time job.
Likes (Indian Food): The food is great near the campus area as I had many options to have my food and I also used to get Indian food in many Indian restaurants located in that area. Most of the time I cook myself and all the items that are available in India are also available here.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Post-study jobs are good as the campus is located in Berlin which is the capital of Germany. We can have multiple job opportunities and the campus helped me a lot to get a job by conducting career services regularly. I improved my network very well through these networking events and this helped me to get a job.

Good Opportunity for those looking to study in Germany and perhaps shift to a different field.
Tips: I first joined the course online and then transitioned to on-campus. Overall, the journey was pretty good, and the college was helpful in the transition as well. Although I did struggle to get into with the support team as they would take some time more than couple of days to revert back. The public transportation is great, affordable and easy to adjust to.
Likes (Public transportation): Being the capital, Berlin is well connected to all parts of the city. I live 40 minutes away from my college but traveling back and forth is not that hectic as I can easily get on the U-Bahn or the bus which is a walking distance from my apartments. But yes, be prepared to learn the German signs on the station.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): Some of the faculty members are not as organized as compared to others. Although most of the faculty do upload notes, articles and books for studies. For certain courses, we even have templates or test exams to prepare better for the final assessment.
