- Based on the prior knowledge of engineering and natural sciences obtained during the bachelor, the master programme offers in depth studies of medical systems engineering, in particular medical technology, medical informatics and medical physics.
- Among others, the students can specialize and gain broad knowledge in the following fields: medical imaging, neuroscience, medical interventions and deep learning. Please check the module descriptions for more detailed information.
- Due to the close contact to the Magdeburg University Hospital, the students have the extraordinary chance to take part in surgeries and see the daily clinical work, recognize existing problems and develop solutions which support or help the physician and/or patients.

A gateway to exciting professional opportunities and experience.
Tips: Students should know that learning German can open up a lot of new opportunities. Attend as many classes as possible, connect with professors, and work on projects related to current research topics. The city is peaceful and beautiful. There is the Elbe River just behind the college and one can go there for an evening stroll.
Likes (Value for money): The city offers good accommodation at cheaper prices and is affordable. Using the student card, one can travel for free on the trams and regional trains, so transportation is sorted. Also, the campus has a mess that offers various food options for students at subsidized rates.
Dislikes (Part time work): It is hard to find on-campus part-time jobs. Most of the time, one has to be in contact with the professors and be aware of the recent research topics. Then one can approach them to ask for jobs, but openings are limited. However, one can find jobs in companies in nearby cities or remote jobs. In IT-related fields, there are many openings, but most jobs require German proficiency.
