  • In the Master's program in Electrical Engineering, students can deepen the knowledge they acquired in their bachelor's program in a specialization:
    Power Engineering (electrical power engineering) or
    Information Technology.
    Both are internationally highly sought-after specialist areas in which the need for graduates is constantly growing.
  • Power engineering involves the generation, transmission, conversion and application of electrical energy. In addition to the basics, the subject area also includes energy production from renewable energies, such as bioenergy and wind turbines, construction, operation and control of electrical drive systems and the associated high-temperature electronics.
  • Information Technology deals primarily with the processing and transmission of digital information. The spectrum ranges from digital signal processing and data transmission to circuit design, embedded systems and multi-processor systems to mobile and radio communication systems.
  • The aim of the course is to train for a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in the field of Electrical Engineering.

    The Electrical Engineering master’s degree is research-oriented and follows on from the bachelor’s degree.

    The language of instruction in the Electrical Engineering master's program is English. It is possible to complete the entire master's program in English. Individual elective modules, including module examinations, are offered in German
  • The Master's degree in Electrical Engineering builds on and extends existing knowledge in the field. students can freely choose and combine modules from the three advanced subjects of general electrical engineering, microelectronics and communication technology, and systems engineering, according to their own interests
