Admission to the second cycle degree/two year master in Advanced Methods in Particle Physics is subject to the possession of a 1st cycle degree or three-year university diploma, or any other degree obtained abroad, recognised as suitable. Additionally, candidates must meet the curricular requirements and pass the assessment of personal competencies and skills.

Curricular requirements A first-cycle degree in the following classes: - pursuant to Italian Min. Decree 270: Class L-30 - pursuant to Italian Min. Decree 509/99: First-cycle degree in class XXV - Physics. - Previous four-year degree programme system: First-cycle degree in Physics or Astronomy. or any other physics degree obtained abroad and recognised as suitable by a specific examination board, which will assess the equivalence on the basis of the candidate's curriculum. In particular, exams must have been passed in subjects providing: - fundamental knowledge of mathematics, particularly algebra, geometry, differential and integral calculus; - fundamental knowledge of phenomenology and classical and modern physics models; - laboratory competencies, particularly related to the knowledge of basic instrumentation, measurements and data processing, also using IT tools
