Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Econometrics, Statistics, Physics, Industrial Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

Knowledge of the following topics: Calculus (8-12 ECTS credits) and (linear) Algebra (5 ECTS credits) and Abstract Reasoning (5 ECTS credits).

Knowledge for specific specialisations

The specialisation in Mathematical Systems Theory, Applied Analysis and Computational Science requires additional knowledge in: Differential Equations, Numerical Analysis and Programming (i.e. Matlab)

The specialisations of Mathematical Data Science and in Operations Research requires additional knowledge in Probability, Statistics and Discrete mathematics

Applicants from India, to be considered for admission to an MSc programme, applicants should have at least one of the following degrees mentioned below, with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 75% (First Class)

Life in the Netherlands is comfortable.

Tips: Apply for scholarships and learn how to ride a cycle for living. The Netherlands is a free country you will get everything here. Student life is easy and you will get a lot of international students in this course. Learning and exploring would be fun for sure.

Likes (Part time work): We have quite good part-time jobs available but the only problem is if you are on scholarship then you are not allowed to do a part-time job in the Netherlands as an international student. Get good grades and you will get a good job just after your studies.

Dislikes (Indian Food): Dutch food is tasteless for Indians because we prefer spicy food over simple food. It would take a bit of time to get used to it. You can cook Indian food also there are Indian restaurants and Asian stores for you to cook and buy stuff. Rest you will love Netherlands.

After obtaining master’s students will have plenty of job opportunities to choose from. They could opt for a career in healthcare, e.g. using mathematics to improve capacity management, diagnostics, or employing mathematical neuroscience models to better understand how the human nervous system works.
Students could also work in the media industry, applying deep learning networks to achieve better social network filtering, use your knowledge of algorithms and machine learning to create models for predicting earthquakes, or supporting the energy transition.
