Inaugural Times Higher Education Online Learning Ranking Awards 'Gold' To ASU For Online Education
Online courses have their own place among students and education providers and more and more people now opt for the online programs thanks to the flexibility of timing and place of learning. In inaugural Times Higher Education Online Learning Ranking 2024, Arizona State University has won a Gold rating for providing excellent online education.
Study in US: Arizona State University has been recognized for its online education. The inaugural Times Higher Education Online Learning Ranking 2024 has provided a Gold rating to ASU for its outstanding online education. Gold rating is the highest distinction awarded by the THE online learning ranking which evaluates the universities based on faculty qualifications, student engagement, outcomes for learning and digital infrastructure.
Nancy Gonzales, executive vice president and university provost commented, “ASU is committed to providing a high-quality, accessible digital education to learners across the globe,” said . “Our aim is to provide an educational experience that matches the rigor and depth of an on-campus learning experience while leveraging the flexibility of digital environments. We believe an engaging and impactful online education means creating inclusive learning environments where students gain knowledge and develop practical skills they can apply immediately to their careers and communities."
“This recognition is not just about what we’ve achieved, but about where we’re headed. As we look to the future, we remain focused on leveraging technology to redefine the possibilities of education and make learning more accessible for all,” Gonzales added.
Only 11 Institutes In World Got Gold Ranking
ASU was one of the 11 education providers globally out of the 120 global universities which received such high rating. The university has 300-plus online degree programs, over 95,000 students, and over 100,000 graduates to date.
"ASU’s online degree programs provide learners the opportunity to achieve their academic and professional goals. With a focus on access and student success, ASU’s goal is to meet students where they are and provide a high-quality, digital learning experience," says the university's statement.
President Crow Tells New Grads To Make The Country Better
This fall, around 11,300 students graduated from ASU, two-thirds of them are undergraduates and others got graduate degrees. ASU President Michael Crow told these graduates, “Worry about what you're going to do to make this country better, stronger, quicker, more just and to help everyone in the country have a pathway forward. You have an assignment. If you’re from the United States, or you live in the United States, or you’re going to live in the United States, you’re in the middle of one of the most significant experiments in human history — our democracy and its forward progress, which is very, very unusual in the scheme of human history."
