Study Abroad: Apply for GIST International Admission in South Korea

The last date to apply for GIST International Admission in South Korea Spring Semester is January 6th, 2025. The Spring Semester will start in March 2025. The application deadline for Fall Semester which starts in September is July 4th, 2025.

Candidates interested in studying in South Korea can apply for GIST International Admission. The last date to apply for the Spring Semester is January 6th, 2025.

Interested candidates first need to submit an online application and upload the required documents as per the chosen field of study. After filling out the application form, the international admissions coordinator will contact you and the admissions result will be out by November 30 for Spring admission and by June 15 for Fall admission. The selected candidates must respond to the admission offers within 15 days of notification. Next, the candidate should pay the matriculation fee and apply for a student visa to study in South Korea.

Documents Required

Following are the documents which the candidates need to submit along with the application form:

• The certified copy of the bachelor's and master's degree.
• Two letters of recommendation need to be submitted as early as possible
• Official English Proficiency Test Score which can include a minimum of 550 scores in TOEFL PBT, 80 in TOEFL iBT, 6.5 in Academic IELTS, 285 in NEW TEPS and 750 in TOEIC. These tests must have been taken within two years before the deadline. Only original copies will be considered.
• Also, they need to submit a copy of their passport.

GIST Scholarships

Under this tuition assistance is given to all students. Tuition will be fully supported by giving 3,607,000 won per semester. However, a one-time matriculation fee of 680,000 won is charged to all newly admitted students. The monthly stipends provided are the student allowance of 295,000 won per month for Ph.D. students and 140,000 won per month for M.S. students, 100,000 won per month meal allowance, and 120,000 won per month for international student allowance.

Research Assistantship of 13,740,000 won per year of PhD and 6,400,000 won per year of M.S. Also, it will provide the housing support.
