Study In Australia: During his visit to India, Professor Farrell, the Vice Chancellor of La Trobe University Australia participated in a panel discussion at the QS India Summit 2025 in Goa. He will also celebrate the 30th year of La Trobe’s partnership with Lady Shri Ram College for Women in Delhi on January 31, 2025.

To further strengthen the educational ties between India and Australia, La Trobe University Vice-Chancellor Professor Theo Farrell has revisited India. This visit is his third trip to India since February 2024.

"I am delighted to be visiting India again and look forward to deepening La Trobe's existing partnerships with esteemed Indian universities and industries, while forging new ones. Our significant expertise in areas including bio-innovation, health and wellbeing, technology and sustainable food and agriculture are being utilised through our partnerships with prestigious institutions in India such as the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) and the Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre (BBC) with whom we are establishing a Bio Innovation corridor to support the development of research and innovation," said Professor Farrell.

“Likewise, I am excited at the prospect of exploring further learning opportunities for students in India and in Australia via joint educational partnerships in India. Together, we can achieve remarkable milestones and contribute to the development of higher education in both countries," he added.








La Trobe University VC To Explore More Student Exchange Opportunities For Students Of India And Australia

He said that he is looking for more joint educational partnerships in India.

“Likewise, I am excited at the prospect of exploring further learning opportunities for students in India and in Australia via joint educational partnerships in India. Together, we can achieve remarkable milestones and contribute to the development of higher education in both countries," he said.







Yesterday, he also participated in a panel discussion in Goa. Dr Vidya Yeravdekar, Pro-Chancellor of Symbiosis International University chaired the panel and addressed the theme "Addressing Global Uncertainties: Building Resilient Educational Institutions”. The summit was hosted by the SRM Institute of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education, Government of India. It served as a significant platform for discussion of global challenges in higher education.

Professor Farrell is all set to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the partnership of La Trobe's with the Lady Shri Ram College for Women in Delhi on January 31, 2025. The event is to celebrate three decades of student exchange and academic collaboration and it will highlight the enduring relationship between these two institutes.
