Innovation in Business Education Award stood out this year due to its quality and diversity of submissions and its record-breaking number of over 1,300 entries.

During the 11th QS Reimagine Education Awards & Conference held in London last month, Singapore Management University (SMU) won the Innovation in Business Education Award.

This year, the selection committee received a record-breaking number of entries which was more than 1,300 entries and there was improved quality in the submission and also there was diversity in the entries.

SMU Associate Professor Yuanto Kusnadi, who is Academic Director, SMU-X (Office of the Provost), said, "Innovation in business education goes beyond merely adapting to change – it drives transformation by reimagining how we prepare the next generation of leaders. By fostering critical thinking and cross-cultural learning, we equip students with the skills not only to succeed in a dynamic global marketplace but also to shape it. This award is a testament to SMU’s continued efforts to push boundaries, ensuring that the future of business is shaped by fresh ideas, bold solutions, and a commitment to lifelong learning.”

SMU Announces New Leadership Appointments

The university has announced the new leadership appointments. Justice Judith Prakas and Kuok Khoon Ean will be the Pro-Chancellors. Lim Eng Hwee and Sherman Kwek are appointed to the Board of Trustees.







"At the same time, SMU extends its deepest gratitude to Mr Sunny Verghese, who will step down from the Board of Trustees on 11 January 2025. Mr Verghese has been an instrumental member of its Board and Finance and Remuneration Committee, contributing his wealth of experience and dedication for nearly seven years. SMU thanks him for his remarkable contributions to the University’s growth and success," reads the university press release.
