Studying Abroad Helps Students Connect In Purposeful Ways: Lynn University

Study Abroad: Based on earlier teaming up of Lynn University professors with International Programs and Services, College of Business and Management Dean RT Good allowed its students an opportunity to study abroad at the University of Oxford.

He along with the Associate Professors Sherry Andre and Darren Allen helped undergraduates and graduates to visit Oxford University to study abroad.

College of Business and Management Associate Professor Kristen Migliano said, "Allowing students to travel and learn at Oxford was a clear choice. Oxford's culture aligns with Lynn's ideals of providing students a place to explore, discover and make the world their classroom."

Lynn University MBA Students Visit Oxford University: More Details

Eight MBA students of the College of Business and Management at Lynn University visited Oxford University with Dean RT Good to have a study abroad experience while focusing on cross-cultural perspectives. These students got the opportunity to emerge in all aspects of the Oxford life from eating at dining facilities, taking classes at the college, staying in residence halls, and interacting with other students.

"I believe Magdalen College, founded in 1458, provides an interesting contrast to what students are exposed to at Lynn, where we have a modern take on facilities and delivery. This was a unique experience I wanted to introduce to them," said Good.

Other than Oxford University, students also travelled to various sites in England including the city of Bath, Blenheim Palace, Stonehenge, the Mini Cooper Manufacturing Facility, Saïd Business School, the Sheldonian Theatre, and the Ashmolean Museum.

Jose Flores Hurtado '22, said, "I don't know if any experience could compare to Oxford, but I don't believe that any student should leave Lynn without studying abroad at least one time."
