The University of Sydney is all set to close the online application process for the Sydney Scholars India Scholarship Program 2024 soon. Interested Indian students seeking to study in Australia must apply by June 2, 2024.

Sydney Scholars India Scholarship Program 2024 Applications to Close Soon

The University of Sydney offers the Sydney Scholars India Scholarship Program 2024 to Indian students aspiring to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Australia. The university will close the online application process for this scholarship on June 2, 2024.

Eligible applicants are those enrolled in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at the university and their courses have not started yet.

The University of Sydney is providing this scholarship to strengthen its relationship with India. The scholarship value offered is up to $40,000.

Eligibility Criteria for Sydney Scholars India Scholarship Program 2024

The following are the eligibility requirements:

  • The student must be an Indian citizen and resident
  • He/She should be an international student in Australia
  • They must have received an unconditional offer of admission to a coursework degree.

A total of 28 scholarships will be awarded every year that comprises 15 x $10,000 first-year scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate students, 10 x $20,000 first-year scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate students, and 3 x $40,000 per annum for any undergraduate degree of up to four years.








Sydney scholars bag top Australian Fellowship

Two University of Sydney academics have received the prestigious Australian Laureate Fellowships from the Australian Research Council (ARC). The Council has announced $58.3 million in funding over five years for 17 Australian Laureate Fellowships.  The researchers have received $7.4 million in research funding.







Professor Liza Lim AM has received $3.74 million as part of a 5-year program to communicate the urgency of climate change and lead social change through music. She is an Australian composer, educator, researcher and the Sculthorpe Chair of Australian Music at Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

Professor Michael Ward received $3.66 million for his project on defining the wild-domestic animal interface and microbial spillover risk. He is Chair of Veterinary Public Health and Food Safety in the University’s Faculty of Science.

“The Australian Laureate Fellowships scheme offers researchers the opportunity to design ambitious research programs around a team of postdoctoral fellows and postgraduate students, which is vital for ensuring high-quality mentorship of Australia’s up-and-coming researchers,” said ARC Acting Chief Executive Officer, Dr Richard Johnson.
