University of Dayton offers Graduate Assistantships; Application to open in December
Graduate Assistantships options are available at the University of Dayton's School of Education and Health Sciences. The annual application window to be available between December 1 to March 1, 2024.
Study in US: University of Dayton is offering Graduate Assistantships opportunities which is limited in numbers and highly competitive in nature. Most of the vacancies are for research assistants and only a few are for teaching assistants. These assistants will be required to work between 10 to 20 hours per week at the campus.
The Assistantship options are available at the following departments - Department of Physical Therapy, Department of Teacher Education, Department of Educational Administration, Department of Health & Sport Science, and Department of Counselor Education & Human Services.
The application window will be open from December 1 to March 1, 2025. To apply for the Graduate Assistantships, the applicants must be accepted to one of the master's/doctoral degree programs within the School of Education and Health Sciences.
"Standard graduate assistant contracts are valid Aug. 16- May 15. Graduate assistants are employed between 10-20 hours per week. Tuition remission and a paid stipend are awarded for the nine-month academic year," reads the official statement.
School of Education and Health Sciences at UD offers 11 undergraduate certificate, licensure & endorsement programs and 11 undergraduate degree programs to help students prepare for careers in wellness, health, education, physical activity or sport.
Greater West Dayton Incubator accepting microloans applications: Details Here
The under-resourced and Underrepresented can apply for microloans through the Greater West Dayton Incubator’s Culture Capital program. The applicants can apply for microloans by October 18, 2024.
Whitney Barkley, director of the Greater West Dayton Incubator said, “We offer these loans to bridge the gap for entrepreneurs often overlooked by traditional lenders. Entrepreneurs in Greater West Dayton can use this funding to hire, buy equipment, open storefronts, and meet other business needs. By prioritizing passion, persistence, and solid planning, these microloans open doors to more equitable economic opportunities.”
The microloans range from $500 to $15,000 and come with additional resources and application support through CityWide Development and UD’s student-run Flyer Consulting. To date, over $80,000 has been distributed to local businesses in various sectors including retail, janitorial services, education, beauty and food.
