University Of Sheffield Invites Applications For MSc Biodiversity And Conservation Course

Study in UK: The University of Sheffield, UK is currently accepting applications for its MSc in Biodiversity and Conservation course. The program is all set to commence in September 2025.

The students will develop their knowledge of human and environmental drivers across various ecosystems and about major conservation issues. They will gain the understanding and skills to balance the requirements of humans with those of the efforts being made towards the climate and biodiversity crisis.

The annual fee for the international student is £33,970.

Eligibility Criteria For MSc Biodiversity And Conservation

The following are the eligibility criteria:

  • The students must have a three-year bachelor's degree with a minimum of 55%.
  • The graduation degree should be from a recognized university in a relevant subject.
  • The eligible subjects for the degree include - Natural Sciences, Marine Biology, Forestry, Fisheries, Zoology, Environment Management, Ecology, Conservation, Botany, Biology, Animal Science, and Agriculture.
  • Overall IELTS grade of 6.5 with no less than a minimum of 6.0 in each component.

MSc Biodiversity And Conservation Course Details

“This MSc course prepares students for a career protecting biodiversity in a range of natural, agricultural and urban ecosystems around the world. Throughout the course, students will be learning about conservation issues and the constraints posed by budgets, policy and legislation,” says the official statement.

The students will gain hands-on experience through the fieldwork which is a large part of the course. They will get to understand the challenges of the real-word conservation project while conducting a project in the field.








“ Current MSc students will be completing their field course on the North Norfolk coast, one of Europe’s premier wildlife sites and a region with significant conservation challenges and varied management efforts,” added the university statement.







The students will get training in data collection related to outstanding conservation and biodiversity interests, about the principles of experimental design. They will be equipped with the required skills to plan, generate, and manage data for their research work.
