University of Sheffield Offers International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship 2025; Check Eligibility, Deadline
Study in UK: The applicants must have an offer from the University of Sheffield’s program before they apply for the International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship 2025.
For students who are looking to study in the UK, the University of Sheffield is offering 75 International Undergraduate Taught Merit Scholarships in 2025. The application will open on November 1, 2024. The last date to apply for the scholarship is April 21, 2025.
International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship 2025 is available to new international students who meet the eligibility requirements. Those who will be selected for this scholarship need to reply by a fixed date.
The scholarship is available in all the following academic years provided the student must have achieved 60% and above in the previous academic year with a minimum of 120 credits.
Eligibility Criteria for Indian Students
The following are the eligibility criteria that the applicants must meet:
- They must have an offer of admission at the University of Sheffield before they apply for the International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship 2025.
- The course for which they have offer must be scheduled to start in the autumn of 2025.
- Students with all undergraduate courses offers are eligible except for Medicine (A100/A101) and Dentistry (A200).
- Applicant should be self-funded to pay the fee and eligible to pay the fee.
- They should not be a sponsored student.
- They must enter a degree programme at the university in year 1 or year 2.
“For scholarship purposes all March programmes are considered as postgraduate taught programmes and are not eligible for this or any other undergraduate scholarship. The University of Sheffield reserves the right to review and change scholarship provision,” reads the official statement.
International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship 2025: Selection criteria
This a competitive scholarship and all applications get reviewed by a panel of senior members of staff. These members select the best applications based on the following criteria:
- The achievements highlighted in the applications show excellence and initiative in voluntary, educational, or extra-curricular areas.
- The applicant should have a strong academic profile.
- They should also highlight how their achievements are related to the course for which they have applied and how it is connected to their future ambitions.
“Sponsored student is defined as being in receipt of a total sum of funds that matches or exceeds the original tuition fee required by the University before any scholarships, discounts or rewards are applied,” added the university statement.
