Global Excellence Scholarship at the University of Western Australia is open to all international students. The scholarship is worth up to AUD 48,000 for over four years on eligible undergraduate courses for students commencing their courses on Semester 1, 2025.

Study in Australia: The University of Western Australia has invited applications for the Global Excellence Scholarship 2025. It is invited from high-achieving foreign students to start their courses on September 1, 2025.

On eligible undergraduate courses, the scholarship will be worth up to AUD 48,000 for over 4 years and on eligible postgraduate courses, the scholarship can be of up to AUD 24,000 for more than 2 years. The value of up to AUD 36,000 is available for three years for undergraduate courses starting in Semester 1, 2025.

"The Global Excellence Scholarship is an annual tuition fee discount for the normal full-time duration of the awardee’s course as specified in their letter of offer. The value of the scholarship is determined by the applicant’s equivalent Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) or UWA weighted average mark (WAM)," reads the official notification.








To apply for this scholarship, candidates need not apply separately, they only need to apply for the course, and then the admission team will then evaluate the candidate for the Global Excellence Scholarship based on their eligibility.







Eligibility Criteria For Global Excellence Scholarship 2025

The general eligibility includes, the international student must have an offer for an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate course from The University of Western Australia for the course starting on September 1, 2025. They need to have a minimum of WAM 65.00 or ATAR 85.00. Those who are studying at an approved International Academic Pathway (Articulation Program), need to have a WAM equivalent of more than 75.00.

About Combined Bachelor’s and Combined Bachelors & Master’s (CBM) eligibility, the official website says, "Whilst most of these degrees are over four years (based on 8 semesters of full-time study), the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce; and Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Science; are over five years (based on 10 semesters of full-time study) and as such, eligible students will receive up to $60,000 over five years (yearly eligible amounts based on WAM)."
