The University of Waikato is accepting applications for the Vice Chancellor's International Excellence Scholarship for India 2024. The application can be submitted at any time for up to NZD$15,000 towards tuition fees for study levels of Undergraduate, Postgraduate (Taught), and Postgraduate (Research). Students of any subject area can apply for this scholarship.
The scholarship aims to help international students from India who are enrolling for the first time in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at the University of Waikato. It will be awarded to successful applicants who demonstrate excellent academic achievement.

Eligibility Criteria
The following are the eligibility conditions for the scholarship:
- Applicants must be a citizen or permanent resident of India
- Applied to a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programme as a new international student at the university.
- not be coming to the University of Waikato via a sponsoring body;
- not be coming to on a Guaranteed Credit Arrangement, or through a study abroad or student exchange agreement
- Those who received a conditional or unconditional offer of place from the University of Waikato (including a pathway offer for a degree packaged with the Certificate of Attainment in English Language; the Certificate of Attainment in Foundation Studies; Certificate of University Preparation; International Diploma (Business); International Diploma (Computer Science) or Diploma of Postgraduate Preparation (Pre-Masters)) at the University of Waikato);
- Those who have a minimum GPA-equivalency of B+ in the qualification used to gain entrance to the University of Waikato

Vice Chancellor's International Excellence Scholarship Breakups for UG, PG courses
Undergraduate students will receive between $2,500 and $15,000, for one year tenure they will get between $2,500 and $8,000 applied to tuition fees in the first year of full time study (a minimum of 120 points), in two years' tenure - between $2,500 and $12,000, with no more than $8,000 in the first year of study and no more than $4,000 in the second year of full-time study.
In three years' tenure - between $2,500 and $15,000, with no more than $8,000 in their first year of study, and no more than $4,000 in year two, and no more than $3,000 in year three of full-time study. The postgraduate students will get between $2,500 and $15,000, which will be applied to one year or more of the recipient’s postgraduate study.
