Established in 1987, Business School Lausanne is a private school of business situated in Lausanne city of Switzerland. The school was founded by John Hobbs. Also called BSL, the school has accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs to offer business programs.
The school offers specialization in fields like business and management education. It provides undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs. The school offers MBA, Executive MBA, and Advanced level studies. Other than this, it provides a Doctorate of Business Administration program to those who have experienced business professionals or teaching scholars interested in the business field. The BSL offers theoretical and practical learning to students coming from about 60 different nations. The institute has around 50 professors who are experienced practitioners and come with the latest business knowledge into the classroom.
Apart from this, the school has vibrant and active student organizations. It has a student council that manages and conducts all the events and cultural activities on and off-campus, throughout the year. The council encourages students to build better relationships and networks. Also, it helps in solving student issues and other problems.
Business School Lausanne has an alumni base of more than 1700 students from over 50 nationalities who are contributing to different areas of society. A good percentage of the students have become entrepreneurs and launched their own startups.
Some have started working in leading organizations like Microsoft, HSBC, Procter & Gamble, Accenture, Johnson & Johnson, IBM, Bulgari, Nestlé, Caterpillar and many more. Some of the successful and known alumni include Matteo Stifanelli (Former Airbnb Country Manager), Paul Polman (Former CEO of Unilever), Lorenzo Wiskerke (MD and Founder of RoyalFish), Marco Piermartiri (COO Geneva Chamber of Commerce), Jean-Claude Biver (Chairman of Hublot) and Peter Bakker (President of WBCSD).
