A Little Bit about Bath Spa University Sion Hall Campus History

The Queen Mother opened the Domestic Science building at Sion Hall in 1960. In 1983, Bath Academy of Art became a part of the Bath College of Higher Education, and moved to Sion Hall. In the 1940s, both the Newton Park and Sion Hall campuses started as teacher training institutions. The Sion Hall campus was built after the Second World War and became the home of Bath College of Domestic Science.

Bath Spa University was founded in 1852 and 4 campuses located in the UK including the Locksbrook Campus. The campus is located at the side of the River Avon in the Bath City Centre area and is known to have an open-plan building with technical workshops, flexible studio spaces and social networking areas. This campus has received a RIBA South West Award and RIBA National Award as well.
