- The Leverhulme Research Centre for Forensic Science is designed to disrupt positively the forensic science ecosystem. Our aims are broad and wide, striving to restore, revise and recharge the validity and credibility of the science in our court rooms.
- Forensic science is the application of science within the forum of the court, however there has been a growing concern that the science underpinning some of the forensic evidence lacks a robust foundation.
- The work undertaken by LRCFS aims to highlight and address the scientific deficiencies where they exist, and to develop new knowledge and innovative solutions to the challenges forensic science and the Criminal Justice system is facing into the future.
- Research areas include:
1) Transfer and persistence of evidence
2) The future of DNA analysis
3) Education and training in forensic science
4) Enhancing the detection of illicit drugs, explosives and bodily fluids
5) Capturing, communicating and collaborating with Virtual Reality in forensic science
6) Generating information about the background abundance of materials.

University has amazing atmosphere.
Tips: Have a clear picture of your course and be ready to accept what ever is here. Start applying for part time jobs once you accept the offer. The university has a fantastic atmosphere and friendly professors. I like the study pattern here we need to research for assignments and that's fun to study. Overall amazing experience.

A budget friendly 5 star rated college.
Tips: Have your accomodation ready before you move to Dundee.
There was a scolarship program before under which I received a £7000 scholarship. Please check if it’s still there.
The course is good and well-structured. Make sure to do a lot of networking to get a good job afterwards.
Likes (Quality of faculty): All teachers are highly qualified, our dean is a PhD from Oxford and we have other teachers from highly acknowledged universities like the University of Manchester and UCL.
Dislikes (Part time work): Dundee is a very small town, hardly any part -time jobs are available.

Tips: This university is for the people who actually want to focus on their studies, as a small city there is not much to do so most of your time will be spent on studying and learning good things. The university itself is very easygoing and has a relaxing environment, one can take a walk even within the campus to wind up a bit.

Prior to making a commitment, ensure you are suited to the learning environment provided at the university.
Likes (Post study jobs): As I will be graduating as a medical doctor, a highly skilled job, and there is a global shortage of doctors, we are regularly told that we are almost guaranteed a job anywhere in the world. Exams are the only thing in our way.
Dislikes (Value for money): Tuition feels is very expensive.
