Very good university but with a high tuition cost for most of us.
Tips: Students should know that the tuition costs are high and remain one of the major concerns of international students here. Also, understand that Columbia gets cold in winter and decide according to your ability to live in colder places. Lastly, public transport is not dependable, and you would need to make friends with people owning a vehicle. Two major airports, Kansas City and St. Louis, are about 2 hours away. The airport in Columbia is small and flight costs are higher than Kansas City and St. Louis.
Likes (Part time work): Almost everyone looking for work find one if they are not very particular about the job for the time being. Part-time work is easy to manage for most students. The average pay range is according to your position, but the minimum pay is 12.50 per hour for any job.
Dislikes (Public transportation): Public transportation is not available on weekends and does not cover all student housing locations. You will have to depend on someone to give you a ride to the grocery store unless you plan to have a long commute to the Indian grocery store. If planning to fly out of Columbia, the airport is not big enough and has a limited number of flights.

The University of Missouri provides on-campus housing options for students in its residence halls. For incoming freshmen, residing in university housing is a requirement, as studies have demonstrated that students who do this tend to have a higher likelihood of staying in school and graduating within four years. Living on campus offers opportunities to form strong friendships, find valuable study groups, and become an integral part of your local community. On the other hand, living off-campus can offer a greater sense of freedom and independence, although the cost of living may vary in comparison to on-campus options. In the end, it is per a student's personal choice and availability whether she/he wants to go for an on-campus accommodation facility or outside campus.
