Boston College has its main campus in the picturesque neighbourhood of Chestnut Hill and two satellite campuses in Brighton and Newton. Each of the campuses features a range of facilities and services to ensure an excellent study and stay experience for the students. The 175-acre Chestnut Hill Campus has the oldest buildings of the university that house most of the academic facilities, dining points, student residences and numerous athletic fields. The 65-acre Brighton Campus has the McMullen Museum of Art, theology and ministry school, administrative offices and newly-built athletic spaces.
Newton Campus is a 40-acre land site comprising the law school, sports facilities and several residence halls for freshmen. The institution has the main library (O'Neill Library) and seven other subject-specific libraries holding a rare and unique collection of more than three million volumes. The university maintains 30 residence halls that accommodate about 90% of the senior students.
