MS in Actuarial Science - Batch of 2025

The university offers many student-friendly services.
Tips: Boston University has a very good reputation, not just in Boston, but in the US and abroad. They have an orientation that lasts three days, and it really helps in understanding how the campus functions and how the school system works. The university offers many student-friendly services, including help with visa applications, immigration issues, and other documentation. There are numerous activities, events and seminars on campus. There are student communities as well. I would highly recommend them for their academic programs, faculty, and student support services.

Highly engaging campus life.
Tips: The campus is extremely welcoming and engaging with a lot of activities to involve yourself in. The weather is much colder than I had anticipated and it is important to prepare according. The faculty are highly qualified and are experts in their field. To look for academic assistance, you can enroll in the ISSP or the International Students Success programme which is run by international students as well as professionals. There are many student communities to help us. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the course, college and the university.

The university is decent but very expensive.
Tips: Students should know that this course gives you a glimpse of the corporate culture here and the outline of all management courses. I can pursue it just to have some international experience. ROI is not great. It is too expensive for a one-year program. It is structured well and offers the opportunity to work with real-life clients.

Boston University is a bit expensive and the market is slow.
Tips: The city and the school are a bit expensive, and I would suggest that students have a clear or at least a vague idea of what they want to do. I would suggest they find a lab of interest and join as soon as possible. I personally got my allowance from my parents and did some parting on the campus as well.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty at Boston University is very helpful. You can approach the faculty at all times. I also enjoyed the hands-on experience that some courses provided. It was fun to put what I had learned into practice. In addition, I found that the faculty was very diverse, which added to my overall experience.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): There are various companies that will offer to sponsor your visas. There are a variety of job roles and salary packages being offered. It totally depends on the role you are looking for. Although the market is a bit down we need to work on ourselves to stay different from others.

Quite an adventure here.
Tips: My experience here has been a rollercoaster ride with a lot of twists and turns. There are a number of on-campus options and part-time opportunities such as research, tutoring, and on-campus stores among more. The professors are open and kind enough to help us out with doubts or questions. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.
