Finance: Most financial services companies provide placement for full-time roles through their internships. Hiring for summer internship programs starts almost 1.5 years in advance of that summer. Students are recommended to start early with their research regarding the right employer, companies, industry, requirements, etc.

Consulting: Most of the recruitment for internships in the general consulting domain is done between July and October. For management consulting internships, hiring begins in April and ends in June.

Healthcare: Students can get applications for summer internships from February to April. Interviews for pharma and biotech are usually held in January and February. The final offer results are expected by March end.  

Technology: Renowned market players such as Amazon, Facebook, Google, Apple, Intel, etc. start hiring interns somewhere around September. Publishing/Journalism: For new graduates and seniors, various fellowships, leadership programs, or rotational programs are made available.

Government: For the government sector, internship opportunities can be witnessed throughout the year on the basis of requirements. The application deadline for the state and local government summer internships is typically in mid-spring.
