- As a general guideline, a three-year degree from a recognized University in India or Pakistan is not considered equivalent to a U.S. baccalaureate.
- Graduates from these institutions may be admitted in undergraduate standing if coursework is determined to be acceptable and meets undergraduate admission requirements. Completion of a three-year degree and a Post-Graduate Diploma from a recognized institution may possibly be considered for graduate admission.
- However, the department can request admission by special action for students with 3-year degrees, if they find that the candidate has other strong qualifications (i.e. have significant work experience, high GMAT/GRE, great letters of recommendation). Also, if you are an international student with an F/J visa, IERF will determine the degree equivalency; some foreign 3-year bachelor’s degrees are found equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s.

CSULA is a welcoming university
Tips: CSULA is a small campus and there are not many stores outside. So students sometimes need to take a bus to get good things if staying in dorms or else the college is good. Helpful tutors, and good medical facilities. Library is there but the buildings should be renovated a bit. There is also a cultural centre to interact with other students it was a good experience with that. Good research opportunities are also there. Overall experience is good and satisfying.

The university is diverse and the teaching method is very unique.
Tips: I migrated from India to complete my studies abroad. The living style here is very different from Indians, as their customs, traditions, and clothing are different. Fortunately, I know how to speak English, which is the only way to communicate with them. I didn't get a scholarship, but I am fully satisfied with my university.
Likes (Safety): I enjoyed spending my free time in the library, where I could read books and use the computers to look things up. This helped me gain general knowledge and clear up any doubts I had. I also participated in the university's multicultural events, which included a dance I really enjoyed.
Dislikes (Student Life): The campus was only a ten-minute walk from my accommodation, which was a huge plus for me. The teaching methods were very unique, and the professors used a variety of teaching tools, including projectors and models.

California State University teaching methodology included lots of practical work.
Tips: I came from India, Punjab, and the culture here is quite different from Punjab. However, it only took me a few days to adjust, as everyone was very cooperative. I also received a scholarship based on my marks, which I was very happy with. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.
Likes (Part time work): I spend most of my time in the college classroom. After class, I spend my free time in the library to clear up any doubts I have about my studies. I also read other types of books that enhance my knowledge and help me learn about other cultures. On campus, events are organized according to the interests of the students.
Dislikes (Internships): California State University Los Angeles was a five-minute walk from my accommodation to the department. The teaching methodology was very hands-on, with lots of practical work and the use of projectors and models.
