B.S. in Computer Science - Batch of 2025
3.9
Challenging but worth-it!
Tips: The program is very rigorous for those who are very passionate about what they are studying. Compared to other universities, you spend more time working here. The college experience here will be very rewarding only if you are very passionate about the program.
Likes (Post study jobs): Companies recruit students from Carnegie Mellon, especially for Computer Science, very aggressively. We have a big technological companies. There are career fairs and networking opportunities, and the university provides students with opportunities to learn useful skills to get a job.
Dislikes (Student Life): Students spend most of their time working since the course load is very challenging, however, student life is usually what one makes of it here. There are many extracurricular opportunities but students focus more on academics generally. Thus it is not considered a "fun" school.

BS in Information Systems - Batch of 2024
4.1
Best university for Bachelor of Information system
Tips: Little bit transition after coming to CMU and also experienced a cultural shift. But other things to know before joining CMU is that CMU has rigorous academics, high tuition fees and sometimes schedule is hectic. I am fully satisfied with CMU and course is worth doing and awesome.
Likes (Post study jobs): There are many companies which are willing to sponsor H-1B visas for skilled IT professionals. Jobs roles include IT Analyst, data Analyst, Information security analyst, database administration and so on. Salary offered in the range of 70000 USD to 95000 USD.
Dislikes (Internships): Too much guidance and support is available for finding and applying for internships. Career fairs and workshops are organised throughout the year connecting students and employers, faculty recommending ambitious students to their connections and other sources includes LinkedIn, Glassdoor, etc. There are many internships available in my field of study.

Bachelor of Science Electrical and Computer Engineering - Batch of 2024
4.1
Best private university in USA
Tips: Before joining students should know about their course requirements, finances, living options and other necessary things. I haven't transitioned after coming here and didn't face any major difficulties in setting. I didn't avail of any scholarship. Talking about the university, I am fully satisfied and it's totally worth it. Country and its weather are lovely and amazing.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Faculty are easily approachable and accessible during their office hours, before and after lectures, and can be approached through mail. Faculty members are highly experienced, very knowledgeable, have strong industry connections and also have made significant contributions in their fields. Teaching methods of faculty include project based learning, group discussions and case studies with full participation of students and also encourage collaborative learning with different departments. Diversity can be found in teaching faculty in terms of nationality, Engineering practices, and culture.
Dislikes (Public transportation): University is few smiles far from the major points of interest like Pittsburgh airport, the Botanical garden, Handy Museum and so on. Public transportation modes serving on the campus are CMU shuttle, Pittsburgh regional transmit and biking share/rent facility is also there. In CMU shuttle and Pittsburgh transmit, students, staff and persons will valid CMU ID can ride free of cost. And other Public transport is affordable and convenient.
