DeVry University: Courses, Admission, Cost

Owned by Cogswell Education LLC, DeVry University is a highly-ranked private higher education institution in the United States. It was originally established in Chicago as the DeForest Training School in 1931 by Herman A. DeVry, an American aviator and inventor, after whom the institution is named. The school transformed over the years to officially become a university in the year 2002. The university is certified by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the Department of Education (U.S.). It is also associated with the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs, Global Accreditation Center, National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences and the Society for Human Resource Management. The university is an official member of the United States Olympic Committee as well as the Minor League Baseball.

DeVry University is a multi-campus university with no central location. Initially, it operated a total of 90 campuses and learning sites, half of which were shut down later. At present, the university has 45 campuses across 17 states of the U.S. Apart from this, it has two military installations at Twentynine Palms in California and Fort Leavenworth in Kansas. It offers top-notch academic facilities that include electronics labs with up-to-date software and hardware, fully-equipped computer labs and smart classrooms. DeVry University is an ethnically close-knit community with a large student body of over 17,364 students across all the campuses, out of which 13,068 are undergraduates and 4,296 postgraduates. The academic staff of the university consists of 53 full-time and 1,253 part-time affiliates, who are highly knowledgeable and experienced in respective subjects.
