Founded in 1887, Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) is a public, historically Black university situated in Tallahassee, Florida. The main campus of the university is the Tallahassee campus. In addition to the main campus, Florida A&M University has various several satellite campuses across Florida. These satellite campuses are the College of Law in Orlando and the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Institute of Public Health, which has sites in Miami, Tampa, Crestview and Jacksonville. FAMU enrolls around 10,000 students from across the US and more than 70 countries. FAMU campus size is over 422 acres.

The Efferson Student Union and Activities Staff is dedicated to improving the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University campus life. Whereas, Suites & Apartments options are FAMU Towers North & South, Palmetto Street South Apartments, and Palmetto Street Phase III Apartments
- Campus Recreation: The Department of Campus Recreation at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University can enhance the students’ experience by offering a wide range of programs and services that promote health, fitness, wellness, and social engagement within the university’s campus community

Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University Housing
The university offers 8 on-campus residence halls. Also, to avail the housing opportunities, the applicants are required to apply at the online housing system. Traditional Halls and Suits & Apartments are some types of housing options for students. Students living in traditional residence halls have to purchase a student meal plan. Whereas, students living in apartment-style facilities are not required to buy a meal plan but can do if they wish.
