Tips: It's an academically oriented college, with many interesting courses to choose from like Data structures and algorithms, big data, intro to machine learning, software engineer etc. NYU is pretty liberal with scholarships, they provide scholarships to almost all students.

Tips: Living in New York City, the biggest concern would be finding a place to live and then paying the rent. Rent is another expensive aspect, but sharing apartments with other students often makes it easier. I am living in Brooklyn, as it is closer to my university.
