NYU Job Outcomes: Job Opportunities & Placement rate, Packages

New York University is one of the top-ranked universities known for the career opportunities that it provides to its students. The university periodically releases its Career Outcomes survey report. As per the report for 2023, the New York University Placements rate is 96.7%. 

The Career Centre has since 1990 organized important surveys such as the Part-time Job and Internship Survey and Life Beyond the Square survey to obtain feedback from students regarding their part-time job expectations, internship requirements, and plan of action after the baccalaureate. The findings of the survey give an idea about the career domains that NYU students like to explore, the options they avail post-graduation, and the kind of employment they’re looking at.

NYU Graduate Employment Profile

The graduates of the 2023 batch received recruitment offers from some of the top companies across the world. Out of these graduates, 95.8% of them received offers after their graduation and 95.8% of them received offers within three months of post-graduation. In the year 2023, 96.5% of the graduates received offers from some of the top companies like Amazon, McKinsey & Company, EY-Parthenon, Bank of America, J.P. The University is one of the best and top-ranked universities in the world. With NYU acceptance rate of just 9%, it is very difficult to get selected into the university. As per the enrollment data for 2023-24, the university enrols 57,335 students in various UG and PG courses. 

NYU Placement Stats by Industry/ Sector-wise Analysis

If we talk about full-time employment, around 93.2% of the graduates were placed in the U.S. and 26.2% were placed in other international locations. Most of the students were placed in Asia after the U.S. In the table given below, we can see that the highest number of graduates were placed in the Consulting Industry and the least number of graduates were placed in the operations industry in the year 2023.

By looking at the table given below we can see that the highest-paying sector was Finance/ Accounting. If we talk about the average signing bonus, the Operations sector had the highest signing bonus. The highest salary received from Finance/accounting was 185,000 and the lowest was USD 70,000.

NYU Campus Placement Support

In order to help NYU students and alumni advance towards their careers, the NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development has collaborated with various employers, departments, and university communities. It equips them with the right and relevant skills and experience to face the corporate or professional world and succeed with the help of the opportunities built for them.

As per the record, 78.6% graduates took help of the Wasserman Center resources for career building at the time of enrolment through career counseling appointments, workshops, and various resources available for students.
