The North Dakota State University (NDSU) has a good placement rate which is a testament to its commendable international image as well as student satisfaction rate. In 2020, the success rate for the undergraduate students was recorded at 88%, with 80% of students finding employment and 8% deciding to pursue further education in varied domains. For the graduates, the career success rate was 95%. These good stats lead to an increase in the university’s enrolment figures.
The average median salary recorded at the undergraduate level was $52,150 and at the graduate level, it stood at $52,700. The College of Engineering yielded the highest average median salary at the master’s level with $85,000 and the least amount was recorded at the College of Graduate and Interdisciplinary Studies with $28,000.

NDSU Class Profile 2021
The class profile of the 2021 batch was recorded for all the departments across the university. Overall, the total number of students enrolled for various courses at graduate, undergraduate and doctoral levels was 12,461. The total number of students pursuing graduation stood at 10,199 and the total number of students in a graduation course was 1,932. - The total number of males pursuing a full-time UG course was 4,603 and that of females was 4,416.
- The total number of males pursuing a part-time UG course was 478 and that of females was 702.
- A total of 106 male students were pursuing Pharm D and 194 students who had opted for this were females.
- The total number of students, both males and females, pursuing graduation was 1,932.
The student profile of both the Business and Engineering batches has also been stated below. The total number of male students in the business school was 1046, whereas the number of females enrolled in a business school was 544. Similarly, in the engineering department, 2190 were males and 418 were females.

NDSU UG Employment Profile 2021
A total of 1,491 students enrolled in an undergraduate course were surveyed for the employment outcome, out of which 1,188 were found to be employed. Going further, 156 students were still seeking a job placement and 127 decided to pursue further education. Graduates found employment in 38 states and 2 were thinking of working outside of the USA. Also, 40% reported North Dakota as their home state with 78% of them working in North Dakota. 53% reported Minnesota as their home state with 47% working in Minnesota.
If we talk about the undergraduate students’ career outcomes, it can be observed that 80% of students found employment, whereas 10% were still seeking the same. The chart below shows the division of career outcomes on the basis of after graduation status.
