Tips: I have no doubt there is a big transition after coming here. Earlier in India I felt I was judged more and not given time to speak about myself. Here it's totally the opposite, you will meet people of diverse cultures who will always lend an ear to what you have to say. The environment at Northeastern University is amazing, Campus is beautiful, labs are modern. It's totally a modern university with high-tech equipment. I got a merit scholarship of $ 12,000. My experience was good overall.

Likes (Safety): I personally can't think of any neighbourhood in Boston that I have visited to be unsafe. It's very safe here. But there are some neighbourhoods that you should avoid visiting as a student owing to the crime rates there. I will suggest being good with people here and don't interfere in their matters. You will come across many motorcycle clubs and gang members here but they'll not do anything to you until or unless you don't do anything that'll grab their attention.

Dislikes (Indian Food): While my stay at Boston I preferred to cook the food myself because there aren't many options. Honesty, the Indian restaurants are too overpriced that is because of the monopoly business, which makes sense but I come from Northeastern state of India and here in Boston you will not find many food options that are unique to my place of origin. In Indian cuisine, you'll majorly find North and South Indian only so, for me who has some northeastern (Indian) taste buds, I usually cooked myself. Moreover, be it any cuisine around the world, for a student to eat out every single day or any alternative day here is expensive.
