Founded by General Baptists in 1885, Oakland City University stands for academic excellence in a warm, Christian environment. It is the only university in the U.S. that is affiliated to the General Baptist Church. It is a non-profit making private university. It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education, and The Association of Theological Schools. Located in Oakland City, Indiana, the university has satellite campuses in Plainfield, Evansville, Bedford, and Rockport.
