Established in 1982, the University of Illinois at Chicago is a private research university in Chicago, Illinois. With nearly 34,000 students UIC is one of the nation’s diverse campuses and is Chicago’s largest university. The campus is situated near the west side community area, adjacent to the Chicago loop. The east campus belongs mostly to undergraduate classes, student housing, recreation facilities, and the credit union arena. Other renovations include repairing and giving a new touch to the roofs and terrace of the Behavioral Science Building, Education and Performing Arts, and Social Work Building.
