Scholarships & Financial Aid


Is there any scholarship or financial aid available for international students?


The University of Michigan Dearborn offers various scholarships to international students. The scholarships are based on merit, academic excellence, and the financial needs of students.

UM Dearborn Scholarship Eligibility

Students are required to have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0 to get the scholarship, and students must be enrolled in a full-time degree program at the university. The scholarships for international students are as follows:

1. International Undergraduate Scholarship – A scholarship of USD 10,000 for four years is awarded to students enrolled in an undergraduate program. Students are required to have a GPA of 3.0 or above.

2. Non-Resident Graduate Tuition Scholarship Program International graduate students are awarded up to 80% of the difference between resident and non-resident tuition fee assessment as financial assistance. Students are required to maintain a 3.2 GPA to avail of the scholarship.

3. Private Scholarships – Students are also offered private scholarships through various private organizations and groups. The private scholarships include the following:
