Q:   Does University of Toledo give scholarships for international students?

A: 

More than 75% of the students at the university receive scholarships and grants. International applicants can avail of the following scholarships and awards:

  • International Rocket Award: A scholarship of USD 7,500 to USD 8,500 is awarded to undergraduate and postgraduate students based on academic excellence and merit. Students are required to maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 to 3.5 or higher to get the scholarship. Students who will have a GPA of 3.0 to 3.5 will receive a scholarship of USD 7,500 and students with a GPA of more than 3.5 will receive USD 8,500 as a scholarship.

  • Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship: A scholarship of USD 1,000 per year is offered to both undergraduate and postgraduate students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.5. International students are required to give proof of Phi Theta Kappa Membership.

Other than that, students can also opt for third-party scholarships. These scholarships are not associated with the university. Students can refer to the university website for more details on external scholarships.

  • CGPA - 2.7/4
  • The typical admitted student in the M.B.A. programme has at least a 2.7 undergraduate GPA and 450 on the GMAT. However, for admission to the M.B.A., GMAT scores and undergraduate GPA will not be the sole basis for admissions decisions
  • Applicants with below a 2.7 undergraduate cumulative GPA must submit a GMAT unless they meet one of the following criteria for a waiver:
