- 4-year bachelor degree
- 3-year bachelor's degree followed by a completed master's degree
- 3-year bachelor's degree followed by certain postgraduate diplomas that are either AIU (Association of Indian Universities) or AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) approved; these postgrad diplomas are all evaluated individually
- For Machine Learning & Signal Processing track: Applicants must have a Bachelor of Science in electrical or computer engineering from an accredited institution, however, bachelor’s degrees in other fields of engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline will be considered. Have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on the last 60 credits of the degree
- For the Power Engineering track:
- Applicants must have a BS degree from a program accredited by ABET or the equivalent.* International applicants must have a degree comparable to an approved U.S. bachelor’s degree. Have a minimum undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on the equivalent of the last 60 semester hours (approximately 2 years of work) OR a master’s degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Applicants from an international institution must have a strong academic performance comparable to a 3.0 for an undergraduate or master’s degree. All GPAs are based on a 4.0 scale. We use your institution’s grading scale; do not convert your grades to a 4.0 scale. Exceptions are considered. Have completed the Capstone Certificate in Power Conversion and Control
- Equivalency to an ABET-accredited program: Applicants who do not hold a bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited program may also qualify for admission to the program. Such applicants must have a BS in science, technology, or a related field with sufficient coursework and professional experience to demonstrate proficiency in engineering practice OR at least 16 credits of math and science coursework
- For Professional Track: Applicants must have a bachelor of science in electrical or computer engineering from an accredited institution, however, bachelor’s degrees in engineering, computer science, physics, or a related discipline will be considered. Have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on the last 60 credits of the degree
- For Research- A grade of B or better in any course is acceptable.
2. A grade of BC in an E C E course is acceptable, provided the total cumulative GPA for E C E courses is greater than or equal to 3.00.
3. A grade of BC or C in a non-E C E course is acceptable only if approved by the Graduate Committee.
