Waynesburg University: Courses, Admission, Cost

Established in 1850, Waynesburg University is a private institution that is associated with Presbyterian Church. The university is known to be a member of the Association of Independent Colleges & Universities of Pennsylvania and Council of Independent Colleges. The university has several activities related to community values, like Weekly Chapel Services, Bible Studies, Student-led Worship Practices, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Faith & Services Mission Trips. Students are supposed to choose among these activities and participate in them.

Set amidst beautiful scenic parks and historic buildings, the campus of the university features 10 residence halls. The students are provided with all the facilities required at the campus. The library of the university holds up to thousand of books and journals. The campus comprises a double story fitness center. The first floor of the center features weight lifting equipment and locker rooms. The second floor has cardio workouts. The campus is located close to some cafes and restaurants. Many stationery shops, chemist shops, and departmental stores are nearby the campus. Also, public transport is easily available from the campus.

The university offers postgraduate degree programs. The academic structure has several courses in the field of business, nursing, criminal investigation, counseling, and education. The students are guided under experienced faculty members. The university is often visited by industry professionals for guest lectures. The students also get a chance to participate in the students' exchange programs. The university also features the Centre for Constitutional Studies and Moral Leadership.

This center focuses on bringing in insights from the United States constitution founding era. The university is famous for its student newspaper named Yellow Jacket. This newspaper is entirely produced by the students and is featured in the Department of Communications. The newspaper focuses on the coverage of community news, campus news, student opinion, coverage athletic conference sports team and other topics related to faculty interest. The newspaper is published weekly in the academic year. It was started in 1924. In addition, the university has a radio station run by the student organization and communication faculty members.
