4. Documentation specialist: You can get a salary package of around Rs. 3.6 LPA in this job.
5. Government archaeologist: As a government archaeologist, you can get an officer-level post in ASI. At the senior level, you can earn up to ten LPA.

No, it is a job that requires you to work full-time. You must first conduct a significant amount of fieldwork in the field of archaeology, beginning with your internship and project plan. Then, if you are aiming to become an archeologist, you have to do lots of research on the ground. Traveling may be required in order to survey, verify findings, dig, conduct lab work, examine relics, etc. In some jobs, like being a clerk or a librarian, you might have a set schedule, but you need to put in enough time if you want to be an archeologist. This field is similar to a Science field in that you may have better opportunities down the road if you do more research now. 1. Assistant Archaeologist: It is an entry-level post for which you need a master's in history or archaeology. You need to apply for the SSC exam when the notification is published.
2. Deputy Superintending Archaeologist: The UPSC holds examinations for this and other officer-level positions on a regular basis. You may need a Ph.D. or work experience in addition to your master's degree to apply.
3. Conservation Assistant: For this post, you need to have three years of Diploma-level experience in civil engineering. You have to appear in the SSC level exam to get a job in groups C or D at ASI.
4. There are other posts like stenographer, surveyor, epigraphist, etc. You have to apply specifically based on vacancy notifications through SSC and UPSC. Some recruitment is also done through ASI's official website.

Getting a job in the archaeology field is comparably more challenging than other popular degrees like B.Tech, B.Sc. And B.Com. This is due to the following reasons:
1. There are very few job opportunities in India for the archaeology profession.
2. This field requires more research and experience than others.
3. It is a comparably less lucrative field than other job opportunities.
4. You may have to travel a lot for excavations, which makes it a challenging field.
5. There are very few private jobs available; therefore, most candidates compete for government jobs. However, with sufficient experience and research work, you can establish a good career in archaeology as an archaeologist, museum officer, lecturer, and documentation specialist.
